I remember when I first played X and Y when they came out. I was surprised when using Lapras to surf that it was actually Lapras and not a dark shadow under water.

I did a Pokémon X Water Monotype 2 years ago (but was not a Nuzlocke). I finished the game with Greninja, Blastoise, Lapras, Poliwrath, Clawitzer and... Simipour.

iirc there's an npc in coumarine city that gives you the tm for acrobatics, i feel like that would've been such a better way to counter Chesnaught

I wanna say the reason tyrunt kept using bite is his strong jaw ability, making the resisted damage of bite basically become neutral damage. Thought 5 power less than stomp, with the same flinch chance, I think the AI just wanted to get value out of its ability seeing as it never saw any way to kill Azumaril

I love the round boys like Jigglypuff and Marill they are my two favorites and I like seeing Marill/Azumarill coming in clutch here Water types have a quite bad time in Kalos never recognized that because with all types available its just way too easy. Thats a shame for those beautiful games which introduces mega

Dunno if it’ll help but I’ve found when I get stuck with thick fat over huge power with the Azumaril line, it’s worth keeping defence curl if you have the option to as using it and then using rollout afterwards doubles the power of rollout - so you essentially get the effect of huge power applied to role out plus a defence boost
