I'm glad Melrose didn't win this show purely because she avoided the ANTM label, but in terms of whether she deserved to win, she definitely did. She was so mature and focused, and with a nice personality as well. A kind of person you would want as a friend. People don't understand how hard it is to keep a strong mental when you are surrounded with girls who literally hate your guts because you keep on performing well challenge after challenge, photoshoot after photoshoot. Everyone hated her, but she didn't let it get to her. What a role model. Melrose rocked it. Love her!

I Vehemently agree! MelRose is my No. 1-Favorite from the entire Show; the Girl I just can't ever give up on🙏🏻 And Mr. Jay & Twiggy were right, She was chastised for the very thing that the Show asks for; knowledge about the Industry. Notice how Tyra, Nigel and Miss J keep bringing "Personality" in deliberation, that was the only thing CariDee succeeded in. Nothing against Dee, She was a good winner; but this is something I've personally experienced in Life. People always want to preach you to have more knowledge and improve. But once you actually begin to get better and find your voice, the same people begin to get insecure and become indifferent towards you in favor of a "Character" like CariDee. It's a Tale as Old as Time dahlin', trust me🙄🙌🏻💖🌟✨️

You can see the editing kind of favoured Caridee by having the judges not mention any of the photos Melrose actually got best photo for. And it’s kinda strange that three seasons earlier, they gave Naima the win for ‘acing the final exams’ and used the opposite reason to reward Caridee.

carlos fernandez I agree, but not by a huge margin. On the other hand, Melrose absolutely dominated the final runway, leagues above Caridee. So, for the final week overall, Melrose edges out to a somewhat decent-ish degree.

Unpopular Opinion: they were a strong top 2. MelRose was consistent from beginning to end. Caridee had an amazing portfolio. I find the final photos panel way too biased towards Caridee. All around I still think MelRose deserves it more but Caridee was still really good. Caridee: stronger portfolio MelRose: stronger runway/walk

I think Melrose dominated the competition, I mean she won most of the challenges, and besides the first week, she was hardly ever at the bottom when calling out pictures, and she had a much better walk than CariDee. I think CariDee won because she took some stronger photos and she had a more likeable personality, and probably because they thought Melrose would do great things with or without winning.

Caridee won because of not just her modeling but her attitude, she showed up on time everyday, no drama, she went with the pictures, listened to Jay, and did her job. Don’t forget, Caridee simply looks more like a model, she’s more likely to get booked. Btw I have to add that the dumb blonde picture was perfect.

Username caridee actually had a lot of drama, the hypothermia, insulting Nigel, they both landed her in the bottom, also the final runway fiasco. In my opinion cari brought more drama then melrose. With that being said caridee is my favorite winner and I love her. she definitely did deserve to win Though. Melrose deserved to win as well. Both were amazing models.

Caridee's Covergirl shot, while very pretty, makes her look 20 years older than Renee's CG shot in cycle 8, yet renee's was called too old.... Nigel said 3 weeks ago that he didnt like Caridee's bull shot, and now it's one of his favorites? Usually judging is impartial, but that final panel starting at 6:00 it was painfully obvious Cari was taking it.

She really did try her best; winning many challenges, going to all those campaigns and receiving the best feedback overall from them and producing really good photos. The show tried real hard to make her seem like the witch of the house to make good television and tbh she was just giving people advice to their face and they just took it as an insult. Caridee was good but Melrose should've won, not everybody in the fashion industry is a bubbly angel; Naomi Campell in a show called 'The Face' even said she is raising soliders and she wouldn't have her girls laughing on the shoot.

I think they were biased but she won bc of her personality she was likeable and friendly, she never had drama never was late, made friends without that being her goal, stayed out of shit, deeply apologized and even read the note to everyone without anything being said about the comment she made to Nigel until after she read the note, owned her mistake AND THE COMPETITION WAS ABOUT GROWTH that’s something Cari did that Mel didn’t ever do she knew everything and never grew just stayed at top but if she was that great she would’ve been a model without the show and they knew that, Cari grew in her personality and modeling even runway her runway isn’t great still but she’ll be better with time, whereas Mel got everything down yes but she had no problem rubbing it in everyone’s face, she was rude talked shit about people that never even did anything to her like anchal and sure she was a bit weak but she wasn’t a judge nor did she have the right to drag another girls confidence down which she did on multiple occasions and as if Tyra doesn’t see all the editing from that week being a producer of the show she would’ve seen and heard everything the girls did including her dragging people down just to make her and others look better which Tyra tried to keep her models from doing to change the industry, she talked shit about people that were nice to her whereas Cari never really did, and if she said anything it was to someone’s face like shown with Nigel, she wasn’t a jealous or mean person and had Mel won Cari would’ve been happy for her and hugged her and we all know it whereas Mel was jealous and rude and walked away from her being pissed at her, the show was about growth and Cari did it, Cari had a more likeable personality that would keep people that she works with on their toes and make work fun do things others wouldn’t think to doing and doing it well that’s why I’m happy she won

It was interesting to have Mr Jay be on the final judging panel because he usually isn’t. I wonder if he relayed back to Tyra how much of a big deal Melrose made about that dress incident. It may have brought back memories of the first photoshoot with her acting like a diva with him and Tyra warning her not to do it again. I often wonder if the judging outcome would have been different had he not been on the panel.

The judges changed their critique of Caridee and the bull picture. The week of the photoshoot, they didn't really like it. They said it wasn't a good photo. But here in the final judging, they're like omg it's such a great picture. Lol

They do all of this but in reality, the sponsoring talent agent is the one choosing the winner. Once they made that choice, these “judges” had to do this made-up deliberation to justify the winner for the show 🙄.
