That's good Rodney that we both think the same, I did go there when the last HST ran with GWR, but that was all I filmed so I will certainly give it another go next winter. ATB Mike.

As a lookout there, it certainly kept me on my toes. When I was up there, we also had the MGR trains going to Didcot Power station as well. Challow was interesting, one end you had the sharp curve and the other, a nice long straight and you could see them coming at you from 2 miles away at 125mph.

I was very impress with what I filmed Andrew as it was really my first time there, well I did go there for the GWR HST tour many years ago now it seams. So yes I will go back maybe next year. Thanks Mike.

It would have been even busier if Didcot Power Station had still been working. And imagine if the 9Fs had still been running, and a freight class that had never been conceived, a 2-8-2+2-8-2 Beyer Garrett monster, perhaps?

Only found out recently that it's fly ash , lorries collect the containers at Appleford, then they take them to a factory near Newbury and make building blocks .

Used to be even better when the Pathfinders charter trains went through after starting at Eastleigh on a lovely day out with a 37 or 66 on the front. Times have changed now though unfortunately.

@@antman09ful1 Yes, I guess you’re right. I do find the tangle of wires annoying at my favourite trainspotting location in Camden but then I think that if they weren’t there then 90’s wouldn’t come past. All I meant was that it makes sense to electrify to oxford.

The North London Line gantries are ok, the GWR one's Ormond are to close together and the gantries are a lot thicker.

Nice video, good location and a variety of trains. However, spoilt by you playing with transitions and caption styles. Choose one and stick with it, otherwise it looks unprofessional and gimmicky.
