Speaking about tone, listen to Tommy Emmanuel and Pierre Bensusan. The two are probably the best. I would suggest classical gas, angelina, guitar boogie, etc. for Tommy Emmanuel and le voyage pour l'irlande for Pierre Bensusan. For a relatively new guitarist, check out Mateus Asato's north(天の目) and don't dream it's over. Amazing every time.

Welp, I didn't even know he had a new record out. I am off to buy it immediately. My wife and I saw Antoine in Milwaukee about 6 years ago and he was absolutely incredible. I hear some Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult in here. When I was writing music... a lot of times there was another song I loved at the core, then I'd warp it into something completely new...but the basis could still be detected if you looked closely. Wonder if Antoine writes this way sometimes. Draw inspiration from a song you love, then create something new out of it.

Antoine puts a LOT of effort into getting these sounding good on YT and it really shows. Terrific dynamic range, a shit boat of bass and a huge sonic stage.....maybe the best sounding recording on YT so far. All of this on normal YT bandwidth allocation. Are you listening Neil?

You are truly a wizard on the guitar Antoine :) and not only are these gorgeous sounds, but interestingly the title hints at a deeper truth... harmonic frequencies have actually been used to propel/levitate "starships" :) even some humans on earth have figured out how to build them over the years.. Nikola Tesla's protege Otis. T. Carr and a man named Ralph Ring built several operational prototypes. They used harmonic resonance (in the same fashion a bumblebee does) to "cancel mass" and propel a craft through three dimensional space.

As long as it isn't a you guitar, you should still be able to make decent music with it. You play the guitar. It doesn't play you...but I wish I had a higher quality guitar myself. It really does make a difference for NY motivation. I get really discouraged when it just sounds lifeless.

The tonewood amp is just for applying fx like reverb and chorus acoustically, without an amp. The incredible sound is partly because the guitar he's using just sounds amazing on it's own, and partly because Antoine is really good at recording and producing. And of course because he plays it like a pro.
