Excellent matchup. I know I sound like a broken record, but I truly think you have gotten better and better with each Versus matchup. The research for this one was spot on. I love how you focused on how in spite of being Padawans, their experiences in their respective eras shaped them differently. And that's one of things I love about Star Wars; seeing how the various eras impact the characters and how they cope. This being the peaceful times of Obi-wan or the hectic timeframe of the Clone Wars via Ashoka and Anakin. If you permit me to go off topic, some major news has hit Rogue One. I know you aren't a fan of spoilers, but a character from TCW will be a major character in Rogue One. I won't spoil his name for you. What's your take on this? Personally, I'm glad. LucasFilm has continually preached about connecting the new canon with the films. TFA was a horribly missed opportunity and it very much seems like the company is following through on its promise.

I think I understand what you mean. Kenobi was a late-bloomer, in the context that the full magnitude and range of his skills did not emerge until later in his life: as a Jedi Knight and as Jedi Master. He was not a prodigy like Anakin or Ashoka, since he was initially rejected from Padawan-level training because he did not garden enough to stand out and cause other Knights or masters to take interest in him. But his commitment and dedicated, particularly as Anakin's teacher and in wake of Qui-Gon's death result in him emerging as a legendary Jedi. He was more like Bruce Lee rather than Wolgang Mozart.

By far _one the best_ Star Wars VS I’ve seen. This is why you are the most subscribed of the forcecast group (though I really, really like GreyJedi91). Even though this video is longer than most of your others, your points were short and relevant (you could have cut down on the dueling parts, imo), you had tangents but none went on too long. You gave each character their due credit, without embellishing or overstating their abilities to make a point, or underselling their abilities to make a counter point. You tied it up with a nice little thesis of Knighthood, and I know I’ve mentioned this before, but whenever you reference a source it makes giddy. You always have the best, most well-rounded researched material in your videos. You don’t pull from just one or two sources but just about everything, and if something conflicts or doesn’t make sense to you you make a point of it before stating your reasoning. You cross reference and treat these videos more like a MLA essay than an editorial writer. Bravo. Truly. Bravo. I agree with the verdict. In fact I would even say Anakin is superior to AOTC Obi-Wan considering how they both faired against Dooku. Now get on those animations! This channel definitely deserves the upgrade!

He's like the Obi Wan of the forcecast, he has a tight, fluid, and minimalist style of explaining things. The information is not over exaggerated or downplayed, he stays consistent and simple. He also has a unique cinematic style and brandishes variety in his videos. A flair that the other members don't put into their videos not nearly enough as he does. The only criticism I give him is that sometimes his speculations and given primes aren't always correct. But all in all I agree with you, there is a reason why he's the most subscribed.

Davies crew can not be killed because they are already dead and their body parts can be removed with the ability that they become sentient when that happens these limbs can also be reattached if removed. Barbossas crew under the curse can not be killed in the conventional means of the word but in the novelization nor in the Movie do I remember any instances of Barbossa's crew being able to put them selves back together of their own accord like Davies crew can add that with the weakness of being turned into weaker more fragile skellington's under moon light. So it would come down to Davies crew dismembering all of Barbossa's crew how long that takes is no factor in this fight because they are immortal although both of them are capable of recruiting in a long term war like situation Davies crew has an ace up their sleeves. They have BOOT STRAP BILL, if dismembering Barbossa's crew does not work they can take away their immortality.

+Furious Sherman Yes, I'm aware of all of that. But then we have to consider people like Ezra on her level in some areas. Many of her fears are inconsistent and overinflated fanservice. Many of the other characters in TCW are vastly underpowered. Going by the show only, Ahsoka should have more tactical ingenuity than Kenobi which would seem ridiculous. Antoine personally thinks TPM Kenobi > TCW Ahsoka in a 1v1.

Aye, though Anakin's ability to draw upon the Force to enhance his abilities during the Mustafar duel was limited, due to the emotional state Analin was in. If Anakin was in his normal state, I'd say he'd get a 7/10 advantage due to his Force ability being much more powerful than Kenobi's. Personally, I don't see Ahsoka being on the level of Kenobi or Skywalker's level, but the concept of the battle is interesting.

Rosani Rodrigues Well, it would be an intense fight, neither side would be holding back nor could they afford to. They could maybe synchronize a force blast and generate enough power to overpower Sidious. Lightning would be casted from both sides. Sidious would be at his absolute limit, knowing that this is perhaps the greatest challenge he's ever faced or ever will face. They would all unleash a flurry of strikes, one that Sidious would be struggling to keep at bay. Perhaps Sidious's lightning would short out Vader's respirator, but Vader would draw on his rage to keep himself alive until the end of the fight (as he has done before). Eventually, after a long fought battle of the Darkside, Sidious, exhausted and desperate, would extend both of his hands, one pointing at Dooku the other pointing Vader, a burst of violent waves of purple lightning would come forth. Vader would catch it with his lightsaber and Dooku with his hands, using tutaminis to block it, as he knows that he would be quickly overpowered if he used just one, but he could at least keep it at bay. Vader and Dooku would be struggling against their master's power. Sidious smiles as he believes that the battle is won, feeling that he's overpowering them, but then something feels wrong. He feels pain, a burning in his chest. He looks down and sees half of a crimson blade pushing out of his chest. He feels his power slowly leaving him, his lightning dissipates. He looks behind him and he sees Maul, gasping for air, a small smile forming across his face. Sidious looks in disbelief as his vision blackens and looks back at Vader and Dooku and then back to Maul. When the light fades from his eyes Maul would remove his blade from Sidious and he would fall just as Maul would fall to his knees from exhaustion, just as Dooku would collapse, desperately trying to catch his breath, and just as Vader would fall finally being free of his master, the master that took everything from him, who manipulated him, and who lied to him for years. Now he could finally die in peace. The land scarred by the battle of the Sith. But that's just one scenario.

Thank you! im so tired of all the obi-wan d*ck s*ckers who mumble on about how he'd outlast ahsoka and the use his "mastery" of ataru to finish her off. fact is Ahsoka held her own against rebels vader, who is known to be more powerful then the ROTS anakin obi-wan fought, as anakin then was unbalanced and an emotional mess. anyone with eyes could see obi-wan struggling to keep up until he changed the paradigm. fact is he only wins cause of tactics and cocky opponents, never throught his own skill. against someone in control and not arrogant like dooku, he got stomped everytime. so i think if Ahsoka focused on him, she;d quickly overwhelm him with her speed, then disarm him. the fight between her and anakin would be long with both parties being wounded, until finally anakin would use his strength and land a blow that would knock her off balance. in all reality however, the ROTS anakin would lose to ahsoka, it's only vader who might beat her and only because he's like 6'7 and has enhanced strength due to his cybernetics.

Part of the reason it didn't work in her fight with Offee was because of the fact she used force Cloak on Ahsoka, the other is because she was still in adolescence (though she was near the point of adult she wasn't fully grown). the final part was because she was focused on anger and blocked everything else out. So I think her biology played a bigger part but my opinion though I loved this video it is my favorite one so far keep it up Antoine

Truly impressed by this vid. Havent seen you do much in the way of multiple opponents, was worried you wouldnt quite get it right given how complex it could be. My worrying was for nought though, excellent job, especially as you didnt view it as a multiple set of 1 on 1 fights, just stuffed into 1 video. Only disagreement is that I think Ahsoka would have 1 less victory in the mid fight, and Anakin 1 more in the late fight. But thats hardly something to really complain over, more personal preference.

Would have to disagree with the dueling abilities. I feel Ahsoka would have an advantage because if her 2 blades and her more “sophisticated” use of ataru. If she was caught between two attacks from Anakin and Obi Wan, she would be able to block them easily with her 2 blades, but if say Anakin was caught between 2 attacks he would have to rely on the force to deflect one of the attacks and though he has the upper hand in force wielding, he would be distracted by the other attack and his defenses would fall. I feel Ahsoka would have the very slight edge.

I think a far more interesting fight would be pitting these three against each other in their primes. Obi-Wan as a Master of the Council, Anakin in Vader's hayday before A New Hope, and Ahsoka as Fulcrum. Both Obi-Wan and Ahsoka have easily held their own against Vader, and while we all know that Obi-Wan's victory over him was quite certain, we still don't know whether or not Ahsoka defeated him or not (though she clearly left her mark).

SPOILERS I kinda hate to admit it, but you are completely right with your arguments. But I see following outcome at least as logical as yours: Obi-Wan would struggle, because he is only average after all, as padawan as well as a master. Anakin on the other hand was a skilled fighter, but as you mentioned, he was often to overconfident. Also, Ahsoka was a bright girl, which she displayed in many fights. I would say the Early Fight is with a *1-1-1* perfectly described, but the Mid Fight would be crucial. You said she would probably take Obi-Wan out of the fight, but I would consider, that she doesn't do that, because of good reasons. First of all, during the Early Fight she would come to the conclusion, that she could not match either of them one on one, so she would probably let them fight. However, if she decides to take crucial actions, she would probably focus on Anakin, due to his offensive pressure on Obi-Wan. Anakin would most likely get overconfident in the battle, thus become wide open for a surprising blow by Ahsoka. While she can't take him out, Obi-Wan would be able to get on the offensive and finish Anakin with Ahsokas help. Right after, she could surprise the remainer and overwhelm him with her quick movements to end the fight without giving her enemy a chance to adjust to the new opponent. I would say: *Ahsoka: 3 ; Anakin: 1; Obi-Wan: 1* (depends on whoever Ahsoka decides to 'help', most likely Obi-Wan, though, because she would see the overaggression of Anakin) In the Late Battle, if Ahsoka decided not to take out one of her opponents during the Mid Fight, Ahsoka would be the least exhausted, so she would either wait till Obi-Wan and Anakin are taking out one another and just sweep the remaining one. If she helped Obi-Wan taking out Anakin in the Mid Fight, she would have a one on one with Obi-Wan, which is difficult to imagine. While Asoka was debatably the more skilled padawan due to her time in the clone wars, Obi-Wan was a more balanced fighter. Therefore, it would depend which happens first: Ahsoka penetrating Obi-Wans defense or Obi-Wan finding a flaw in Ahsokas tactic. Therefore, I would rate the Late Game: *Ahsoka: 1 ; Obi-Wan 1 ; Anakin: 0* Which would conclude this dispersal: *Ahoska: 5* *Obi-Wan: 3* *Anakin: 2*

This analysis entirely draws on the fact that Ahsoka and Obiwan team up, which may or may not be the case (sounds feasible). However Anakins noticeably higher skill level is not to be underestimated. And we shouldnt just take the teamup for granted. Anakin doesnt just get overconfident, he actually has very good reasons for being so, but dueling on par with Dooku isnt something to scoff at and is something that neither other combatant probably would be capable of doing. And dont forget, once one of the fighters is out, the other 2 still have to actually fight each over ie if Ahsoka takes out Anakin, she still has to take on Obiwan, the only problem is, Anakin isnt gonna be easy to take down

I didn't mean "teaming up" in that kind of fashion. In my thoughts, Anakin would be the one attacking Obi-Wan, which would Ahsoka naturally give a better chance to surprise the attacker than the defender. Once Ahsoka would interfere with the battle of the other two, she would therefore attack the attacker, Anakin, so that Obi-Wan would be thankful for the oppertunity to take Anakin on while he is distracted and his focus is spread. I just meant to say, that I would think, that in the Mid Fight Ahsoka would take out Anakin rather than Obi-Wan (like Antoine said).

DodoRebirth The problem is, Obiwan is offensive as well, and what you said is how Ahsoka is getting most of her victories, the problem is, Obiwan just isnt as viable in this contest and Anakin can fight both to some degree far better than the others could if a committed assault was against him. Anakin isnt just going to blindly let them attack him though, he will try to sidestep or else get to focus on one person, and his actual defences are pretty solid, Obiwan id say has the greatest shot of having his defences broken, its just Anakin, like you said, is more likely to draw attention

I'm sorry Obi-wan wasn't an 'average' Jedi at this or any point of his career he was far better then the Average Jedi (Jedi High Council member later, as well as one of the best duelist of the Jedi Order). Darth Maul had killed Anoon Bondara (the current Jedi Battlemaster, or if not a Battle Master a well known Lightsaber instructor) and Anoon Bondara's apprentice Darsha Assant. While Obi-wan wasn't able to land a blow against Darth Maul he survived and even managed to push him back after seeing Darth Maul strike down Qui-Gon.

Crazyscotsman I only think hes average right about now. Dont bother using him as a member of the jedi council, thats very much far ahead in the future and at that point, he is certainly exceptional as both a swordsmen and what a jedi should strive to be, but as a padawan, he doesnt exactly have as much to boast about. He would of course rectify this in the future though, I really do enjoy Obiwans character and dont for a secod think he should be underestimated, but when putting up what hes capable of doing for this context of a 3-way with his skills as a padawan, he is poorly equipped for the task His victory agaisnt Darth Maul was at best circumstantial, and was more a result of Mauls own arrogance than Obiwans own skill, though him contending with Maul is indeed a skillful feat. I dont know much about Bondara, and Im not going to look at wookieepedia to find out, it would just prove that Im unqualified to judge the contest, but more importantly I dont know the circumstances of the fight or where it took place

This is Ahsoka from TCW, not Rebels, who Vader took pretty handily. Ahsoka would have trouble surviving the duel with Anakin and Obi-Wan. She's the weakest duelist of the three.

you are correct on the first point yes, but I was simply referencing the fight as a showing that she can overcome that type of foe. my main point was she would gang up on Anakin basically sandwiching him between herself and obi wan. because she knows anakins style inside out as he is her master who she is learning from. she would gang up against him and then defeat obi wan soon after Anakin bites the dust.

Here is the thing. I have a love/hate relationship with Wookiepedia. I *LOVE* Wookiepeida but I *HATE* how people use it. It's a great _re_source but a terrible places for sources. Many people online use Wookiepedia as a source when it's not. It's simply a resource to other sources. I feel like I'm one of the few that uses Wookiepedia as it should. I go there to references to text. If you look at one of the articles you'll always see a footnote. What I do is go to that footnote, see what that line was referencing to, find that novel/comic/books/video game and verify that source. Hence, the reason you see me referring to so many different things.

I liked the video & agree that Anakin win or might win this, but I see it like this: In Skills: Obiwan > Anakin > Ahsoka. In Force Powers: Anakin ( Pure Strenght of the Force ) > - Obiwan ( More Balanced use of the Force ) > Ahsoka ( Balanced but getting more like Padawan Anakin's level ). Phisically: Obiwan > Anakin > Ahsoka. I definitely do not agree with your assessment of skills, force powers or physicality. In terms of skill, Anakin outmatches Ahsoka and Obi-Wan (reasons highlighted in video) With Force powers the same is true, and Ahsoka made better use of the Force than Kenobi did. Physicality I believe is the complete opposite with Ahsoka > Anakin > Obi-Wan. Not sure how you have Obi-Wan's physicality so high when his feats for physicality were not on par with Anakin or Ahsoka.

Well Phisically Ahsoka falls from a high ledge and take her a few moments for her to get up, while Obiwan was kicked by Maul to the face and falls from a high Ledge & hits the ground hard as he nearly falls to his death but he grabbed the ledge and comes up later on to keep fighting, thats a great Feat of Durability & Stamina for TPM Obiwan, Anakin in EP2 gave similiar Feats but not that brutal ( Anakin falling from a spaceship near the ground in EP2 was a simple thing to survive ), thats why I give Obiwan the edge in Phisicall ability. While in the Force, Anakin is Stronger, while Ahsoka is near that Level ( Yes she have shown to have good use of it but she disnt hove that Level of power as Anakin & Obowan as both of them have great skills in the Force like Anakin ( Teached by Obiwan ) & Obiwan ( Teached by Qui Gon Jinn ), Obiwan in EP2 admited that he teaches everything he knows to Anakin while Anakin rarely use them cuz of his pride and erogant, while TPM Obiwan was teached everything that Qui Gon knows about the Force even his Wisdom ( Thats why in the End of TPM he was trusted by the Jedi Concil in his early age to be a Jedi & to be Anakin's Master ), while Ahsoka knows how to use the furce but she disnt know to use it like Obiwan & Anakin ( Remember Anakin didnt teach everything he know to Ahsoka & Anakin as a Master was the worst, but Anakin as a Father Figure to Ahsoka was the Best thing in the Clone Wars Series ), making it it: Anakin > Obiwan > Ahsoka. I wouldn't say he was weak. He was highly respected among the awesome peers you mentioned and was put on the council at a relatively young age. He was sent alone to kill Grievous when other masters and heck the chosen one were all available. Keep in mind he was the second Jedi in several millennia to figure out how to keep ones cortisones once you became one with the force. And the first to face and defeat a Sith.

Little note: Anyone else think that padawan/knight Anakin with a red lightsaber looks totally badass? I mean, first of all, the fight with Ventress, but I remember in the ROTS game you could play as him in a sith costume and it was one of the coolest designs in the game.

I would've gone with Ahsoka seeing as her style would be better with multiple offenders and she seems more inclined to use the force in a duel than Anakin and Obi-Wan

That's great for when she's got two folks, but when either Kenobi or Anakin eventually have her alone, they would both be able to defeat hear individually. See my little pop-up analogy. She's like a smash brothers player (much like me). I do very well in 3-4 player match ups in smash brothers because I always get the "cheap" hits that people don't see coming because they are to focused on better players. But when it comes down to sudden death or a 1v1 situation, I hardly ever win.

so? doesn't mean he has an offense. literally every time he attacks he immediately gets beaten. he can defend with the best but won't be able to capitalize on any over extensions because he is constantly on the back foot. only way he ever wins is through the arrogance of his opponents. a precise duelist like ahsoka wouldn't even be fazed by him.
