TV has schedules, duration limits and host of other reasons why TV interviews aren't comparable to KZbin. Most KZbin interviews are basically recorded podcasts. That format doesn't exist on TV. Like I said, there's a lot of people working hard on social media, not easy producing your own content consistently.

That's a very kind comment. This isn't one of my best interviews with AJ though. Before he fought Ruiz in Saudi i interviewed him- over 750k views. Also i asked the question that brought AJ to tears after Usyk fight. I am full time tv presenter and news reporter... So my interviews should be diffetent gravy to most things on KZbin. But i respect their work ethic dedication. As i was a youtuber back in the day too.

It's very unlikely but even if he does become a "three time champion" he will never achieve what Usyk has. AJ should focus on completing a trilogy with Ruiz before he talks about being a champion again. He got absolutely destroyed by Ruiz in the first fight and then outpointed a massively overweight and untrained Ruiz in the second fight. Its extremely unlikely that AJ will defeat an even semi-fit Ruiz in a third fight.

The way Fury's career is going it could t be only a matter of time before he is beaten IF he is FORCED to fight a serious challenger, like Joshua is in the process of becoming again or fight the unified hw champion Oleksandr Usyk. Tyson Fury had better fight someone who is recognized as a highly ranked and skilled pro boxer soon. If not, the boxing community will probably call for him to be stripped of the title he has. In the meantime Anthony Joshua is staying active under new trainer Derrick James while Fury's trainer (?) Sugarhill Steward has been busy training other fighters but not Tyson Fury .

Been saying for years that Joshua needed to stop letting fans and the boxing fraternity determine his moves and get to him too much. I have a friend who always trashed him and called him robotic and overrated, but when we met him in 2019, dude jumped first for the pictures and autographs. I'm glad he's sounding a lot more resolute and better mentally. Either way, most of the people who hate do so from behind a keyboard, just like some of the people who love, and sometimes ppl switch up. So just do what works for you. Many times that's better than having one for that long -- because when you hear the first 5 words out of his mouth, in a certain situation, you know the next 100 by heart. It's especially tedious when there're 2 or 3 guys telling you how to fight at the same time. One says "you gotta concentrate!" ... It's like "piss off man. You get in your stupid ass in here and fight."

He doesn't seem to have found the answer to his flaws yet, and after 13 years, and being in his early to mid 30's, it's too late to start looking now. I thought it was brilliant when he started his career, it seemed like a new era in UK boxing, but Hearn always cons fans and fighters, and AJ has just turned into a money-making, business model, and will never be remembered as a real fighter. I will remember Whyte & Chisora when they retire, but AJ will be forgotten. AJ has made 10 times more money than Whyte & Chisora, but he hasn't shown the guts, determination, and heart, and given 110% in fights slugging it out to the last bell like they have, and that is what makes a memorable fighter.

He changed his style because he kept getting KO in sparring. I believe the explosive fight with Klitschko could have led to him being vulnerable to a good shot. AJ has had a excellent career, made lots of money and has reignited boxing popularity. AJ it's near the end of his career but he may still have something left in the tank. Completely agree. Since he lost against ruiz his confidence has disappeared and ever since that fight he's been too scared to be the aggressor and control the fight because he hasn't got a winners mentality which has been proven since that loss to ruiz. I don't take anything away from the guy. Its bloody impressive what he's achieved considering how late in his life he started training to be a boxer and I have mad respect for that but he's no where near Fury's level nor Wilders.

AJ is a thick twit, and should never have tried to bring politics into sport, especially when it's supporting what intelligent people knew all along, ie that BLM was a criminal organisation, conning thick clowns out of money so the three lesbians could buy themselves lots of massive houses and make personal fortunes. This is the AJ that this man has evolved into and the man he was always going to evolve into with the mixture of grit, hardwork, bravery, hate towards him and lofty expectations from the outside world. He has finally evolved into his final form. This is a man who knows who he is and what he has to do. This is why I liked what the title of his latest doc video on his KZbin channel was called “I know what it takes”. That is very telling of his mindset. He was already a role model but in the beginning he was just doing it to show himself as a positive person facing challenges head on with a smile and conquering his obstacles with strong willpower. Now is the time that he truly becomes a lasting inspirational figure for many generations as he is now showing that the rough edges can be refined with humility, that it is okay to question yourself in order to challenge yourself to be better, that you do not have to pretend to be a beast or warrior all the time to prove you’re tough. That you can actually go from novice to becoming so good at your chosen field by learning from your losses while not letting your victories change the man you are. This man is a true role model in every sense of the saying because as he once said in the ring “he is not perfect but is trying”. In a world where people expect you to be perfect version of what they want you to be, here is a man showing that he has overcome the feeling of wanting to do it for leotard is now very comfortable knowing that doing it for yourself is good enough for you, and that is all that matters in the end.

Fair comment. He definitely wanted to demonstrate his boxing skills in the first fight. Which weren't terrible but weren't Usyk's level. I definitely wanted aj to use his god given attributes. But at the same point i can understand the desire to prove people wrong. Sometimes outside voice can make us forget we are doing great as we are.

⁠@@marcus6775he did on one judges scorecard 115-113 to AJ so he was closer to outboxing him than people realise. I had AJ one round up after the ninth and then Usyk took the fight away in the championship rounds so 115-113 to Usyk for me which one judge scored it. If he could have continued the good work he did in the ninth he might just have done it. This is what he tried to explain in this interview about breaking an opponent down. It took him until the ninth round to get there but then just as he thought he was there Usyk’s class and AJ’s lack of stamina told. I think that was what led to the utter despair at the end of the fight.

Absolute honesty and that is why he is improving. If he did not fight Wlad he’ll still be fighting like he did against Whyte. If he did not fight Ruiz he would fighting like he did against Wlad. If he did how fight Usyk, he’ll be fighting like he did against Ruiz. You live and you learn and that’s the true essence of life. AJ certainly comes across as more focussed this time around, but I am concerned that he still sees it necessary to go back to basics and learn the fundamentals of boxing again. I personally do not think he needs to go back to basics. He did not mention his stamina once during the interview. He indirectly referenced it by talking about how long he can hit a punch bag for etc, but never directly mentioned his stamina, which imo is his main weakness. I think AJ was a better fighter several years ago and he can learn a lot from his first fight against Whyte and in particular, his fight against Klitschko. He was quite economical in both of those fights and chose his punches and attacks very well. He was a lot calmer and more calculated. The strange thing though in both of those fights, was that he got clipped and his stamina failed him at certain points. I would be getting AJ so fit if I was his coach and getting him to focus on his jab more, move his head from side to side more and not to stoop. He can learn from watching how Fury bounces on his feet and leans back slightly, which makes him less prone to being hit, but more able to retreat when needed - a bit like guerilla warfare, hit and run strategy. AJ is also prone to getting hit on the side of his head and Ruiz and Usyk highlighted this weakness. AJ will need to be aware of that against Whyte as one hard punch to the side of his head will buckle his legs again. Whyte has a decent jab too, but punches from his hips, so AJ just needs to keep his distance, work the jab, conserve his energy and be clinical in his attack phase. I am sure AJ will win the fight, probably with a straight jab and upper cut combo, more than likely in rounds 8 to 10 imo as he will not want to burn up in the earlier rounds. If AJ can improve on his stamina and learn the guerilla warfare style of hit and retreat, then I see nothing stopping him on his way to his 3 time moment. All imo of course.

Unfortunately AJ has started to believe his own waffle regarding defence, footwork, the sweet science, etc. Some fighters (Usyk, Fury, Mayweather, etc.) do have those attributes. But somebody needs to sit AJ down and tell him straight, you are not gifted in any of those aspects, you are a 6ft6 powerhouse with explosive knockout power, now go and use your attributes, take a punch and give a punch back, bully your opponent, break their soul and KO them! Take Wilder for example, he knows he's not the best boxer, so he uses what he does have, that right hand equalizer! With all this defence talk, it could be a Whyte KO on the cards! There is no hate coming from my end, it's more a frustration because we all know he could of KO'd Usyk and pretty much everybody else in the division if he just lets his hands go and be prepared to go to war!

I hear what he's saying but he's wrong, I say different fights for different nights, the aggressive AJ works well for certain opponents and the calculated AJ works well for certain opponents. He should have been aggressive with usyk I saw how he hurt him during the fight at one point, and with dillian Whyte both styles will work. Anthony Joshua is my favourite boxer but I feel he thinks too much and sometimes overthinking makes you make the wrong decisions. You have to be calculated with your METHODS, he wants to appear smart rather than the stereotypical hood black man the media makes us to be which is good but he shouldn't need to prove anything just be himself. Overall good interview the camera should have shown you alot more couldn't see your face clearly at times just ajs good questions asked though.

around 4:40 AJ explains something that I wish more goofy critics would stop and listen to more carefully. He is correct: the boxers 'arc' is not actually chronological age, (esp. heavies) but the number of wars, the exhausting battle fights, the heavy punches and those long recoveries. Mayweather was well aware of this and IF he could, he's carry out the 'performance win' and sometimes yes a 'defining battle' had to happen. This is why Mayweather could go on for 48 high-level bouts AND 1 fake fight and then a dozen Exhibition Lotto fights well into his 40s. This is also why Dillian Whyte is a 'spent shell' and at 36 probably should have retired at least 1 bout before. He's "old" and his reflexes, the 'durability' are going due to wars, brutal slugfests, 'defining fights' for sure but his arc is now ending. AJ might be a jerk and says dumb stuff too BUT in this case he really knows what he's talking about, it's worth considering and a few of the relentless boo-birds need to hear it.

One of the more intelligent comments I've seen on a boxing channel. Most of the time, people are saying AJ should "just be aggressive" as if that solves everything. I do feel AJ should have worked more closely with Lennox Lewis as he knew the game inside out including the fundamentals. I don't know why he didn't pursue that path as it would have saved him a lot of trouble but there's probably more to the story than we know.

All the hate hes had is crazy. He brought boxing to a new place, brought a lot of new eyes to the sport, my son started boxing cause of AJ, he broke so many records, fought the best available, never took a "gimme" or easy fight, tried his best to unify, brought a lot of money into British and world boxing, but gets a lot of unfair stick. Tyson fury hasn't fought a mandatory in over 15 months, never defending his belts after klitschko, fought a load of tomato cans on his return to then get a shot at wilder, don't get me wrong, it was a hell of a story and incredible what he did to wilder, he wouldn't fight AJ cause he didn't want to wait 1 more week got contracts but literally ain't fought and waited a year to fight ngannou? Yet seems to constantly get a pass.
