6 minutes in and it baffles me to think that a male figure, (dad/stepdad) could’ve maybe prevented what these men went through. The COMPLETE family dynamic is very important. If your a single mom tuned in , please take notes on the importance a father.
@theoracle2760
@theoracle2760 Жыл бұрын
This is one of the most important takeaways from Charleston White's story that always gets overlooked. He always talks about how his mom made good money, did her best to have cetain morals and principles, had them in nice neighborhoods, but NONE of that could replace the need for a father, family structure, and the need to have someone else help carry the load of raising children. This is crucial because SOOOOO many of our women think that if they just go get a good job and make good money that can replace a father and this a great example of that not being the case.
@ase4372
@ase4372 Жыл бұрын
@@theoracle2760 Trust me alot of them don't think that. They're just trying to navigate the best way they know how raising children by themselves. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I've been working since I was 15, I had my first and only child at 25 and I refuse to compromise picking him up from school because my job want me to work long hours. She probably didn't have the option I have now as a mother.A mother can only do so much when the father refuses to step in and play their role.
@ase4372
@ase4372 Жыл бұрын
And no woman wants to play father that's a real feminine woman. It's out of order. Black men have to start holding other black men accountable and also encourage them to be practical with the mother of their children. The mother of your children should be able to tell you that your lacking as a parent because that makes the best experience for the child. Alot of black men don't like criticism and then in return use the mother blocking them from the child when in actuality they're running from being responsible.

@@taylorjalicia20 if he was 52 that would mean he was born in 1971. It’s documented he went to the boys home (juvenile) in 1991. By your logic he would’ve been 20/21 years old and tried as an adult and went to prison in 1991. He was labeled 14 years old in 1991. Meaning he was born in 1977, meaning he would be 45 years old right now. It’s simple math 😂😂😂 good try tho 😭 And why would his own brother lie about there age gap too? 🤔 🤣

Charleston and his brother is living proof that no matter how good of a condition black children are groomed in, they are still likely to end up incarcerated. This is the grey area that Mr. Charleston seems to thread lightly on when speaking about issues that hurt kids and moreso the black community for which he says he's not interested in helping. Seems a mightier power is assisting in this derailment of black growth and development yet he's been prospering off of such misfortune....
