I've always do my 5 by 5 training. Must have 5 beers by 5:00 PM. Then I take a break, have a snack then work on my 12 by 12. 12 beers by 12 AM. Jump in bed, get my 8 hours sleep then its another day. Sure, its tough. But somehow I get through it. Usually my trainer rubs down my liver in the morning.

Matt, seems like back when you played, a few non-starters would come out and sign for fans down the line (occasionally starters would come by after they're done warming up. How did you deal with that? And seems like that part of the fan experience is lost today (Team policy? Security reasons? Or anything else?).

Can you talk about the relevance of a series? Say you're 72-59 with 5.5 games ahead and you get swept. Is that different from winning the first and losing rest of the series, and then losing again the next day? I'd assume with rivalries it's different again. I'd love to hear!

Matt it seems like pro ball is a very early morning and a long day before a game late in the day. How do players have enough energy? I know the NHL has a morning skate and then a mandatory nap before the game. Is there a nap period before pro ball games?

Bringing a player up to spring training still requires he uses an option, right? Those 15 minor league guys who are part of the 40 man, but not 25, have to burn options at the end of spring training, right? If so, do you ever see 40 man roster guys who are deliberately left out of spring training because they don't want to be put on optional waivers?

I love all sports, and wanted to play because my brothers played. I'll say my heart was there, but my abilities were lacking. So, I'm going to relate a funny story that actually happened to me at one of our little league scrimmages. I'm up to bat, and our coach calls time. He proceeds to go out to the other team, and is chatting with their coaches and players. I know that I wasn't the best player, so my mind is running wild: like he's probably asking them to hit me or something worse to get me off the team. He leaves the mound, and their pitcher promptly walks me on four pitches. I go to first, and the first baseman says that he's sorry to hear about my leg. I'm like "my leg", and he goes, "Your coach told us that you had recovered from a broken leg." I've never had a broken leg. Unfortunately, I did leave the team as my parents didn't want me playing baseball.....

For the people who say ur a baby i say let them work in a plant for a week. Loading fedex trucks, or a turkey plant etc... very similar the 1 job is easy but you do the same thing 8, 10 hours a day all day..... u hurt. So believe me i know what your saying
