Hi Matt, i’m a 3rd baseman for my club team (12u) and I’d like to know if you have any tips or drills on how I can stay down for a tag. I have trouble stopping the ball and I’ve been looking for advice. Is there anyway you can help?

Matt, my daughter is usually late on tags at 1B. Although much is the same as 3B, could you give some tips for applying tags quicker with a right handed first baseman? Btw, your turn the barrel, get in the zone early technique looks to be the reason behind her having great numbers this past weekend! Thank you so much!

Absolute HORRIBLE tag!!! I can't believe a D1 player would do that! We coach all our players to tag right at the base just like you mentioned Matt. BASIC stuff.

I do agree it’s basic, but I’ve seen a lot of players mess it up in games. Definitely something that needs to be practiced
