well, the thing is that none of his Hollywood movies are good enough to deserve any serious award nomination as virtually all of them are mainstream popcorn macho stuff. Only in his native Spanish films, especially those of Almódovar who actually started his career in the early 1980s, one could really see his true acting talent.

Well.. in Rob Lowe's defense, it WASN'T his fault. It was the producers/writers for the show. He unfortunately was the messenger of their shitty work. I just hope Rob smiled A LOT...to show off his cute face... to distract the audience with his shitty dialogue. Actually.. come to think about it... MOST of his movies were like that too. Good looking guy.. crappy dialogue.. (Other than The Outsiders.. which his character Soda Pop hardly spoke.)

Aww, Rob just made me remember that about my dad. He died a number of years ago but that was his weird vice - he would get up in the middle of night and eat ice cream. And he said the same thing, he had no idea where it came from, the man did not have a sweet tooth when I was growing up, but he hit his mid-fifties and suddenly he just couldn't help himself.
