Commentator has spot on analysis of hand. The run out actually helps Ivey make a fold. He's likely only beating A3, but A3 checks river. He's capped at AT>. Hard to have a combo draw that missed there for esfandiari with his line and betting speed.
@catac83
@catac83 2 жыл бұрын
He s not capped at A10>.. Esfandiari cannot have AK or AQ by the way he played preflop..AJ I think would have shut down on the river because it cannot beat 33, 22 and 5-4(also an aggressive player like Esfandiari might have reraised preflop with AJ).. Esfandiari could have 33 and 5-4.. I think any flush he could have checks the turn to see a free river, also any other bluff shuts down on the river Ivey only beats 0 out of 2 possible hands, bad call

I'm Suprised he didnt reraise. Amor of the times he does. I was actually waiting for a big reraise from him. But I believe he knew he was beat on turn and river, he was just looking to fill up and our the hammer down. You beat him with a hand like that, you know ivey is going into a third dimension haha.

The logic behind the term "losing minimum" is when there's a "cooler" hand, and a player with the losing hand could've lost more. Alot of people would've re-raised on the flop/turn/river with a set of 2s. Phil didn't, so he lost minimum, the actual amount is irrelevant.
@Filippirgos

@rambojohnj.6117
@rambojohnj.6117 6 жыл бұрын
den525 100% correct. There were only 2 hands Phil was losing to on the flop, 33’s and 4-5. (The chances Antonio flatted the raise preflop with AA is about .000000001%). Most people, myself included, probably lose a lot more in that spot with a set of deuces.

I have and will always say, Ivey is the most overrated player. In fact, I lookout for mistakes every time he plays and they're very easy mistakes but the commentators pretend he does no wrong. The guy go reraised on flop on a straight dangerous board. Continue his firing and making it big hits and Ivey just kept throwing money at him.
@PopasMUSIC
@PopasMUSIC 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah its easy to talk when you see all cards and you're not involved in the hand by yourself. I bet that you wouldn't fold in this situation either. It's an easy call actually, considering the bet sizes and your stack size, it's not like you forced to push all in. Btw everyone makes mistakes, even the best. It's the right decisions that matters the most so you can compensate these mistakes.

SIMBA I don't know who you talking to, but you don't have to be an expert to use some basic logic. Three of a kind is just one step below the straight, and on this board best you can have is a straight so even the lowest three of a kind is a strong hand here. Also the pot size is not even 1/3 of your stack, so I can't imagine anyone folding in this situation

Ponas Šėtonas I just watch the pro's play. If people know how to play like them. Go play with them high stacks. That's all. When i see the cards i am a expert 2.
