If I think of Classical era church music, it's the Gloria from this piece that springs to life in my mind. What an underrated composer and what a wonderful performance - thank you, Pau NG, as always, for uploading.

Imagine being at Schönbrunn in 1975 and listening to this as the emperor makes his entrance to the palace for an event

1975? Also, it’s a Mass, not a symphony concert. The emperor would have been seated prior to the Mass without making a grand entrance.

@@rev.markcarrier1894 1975 was a small mistake I really didn't notice at the time 😂. And true.m,but let your fantasy run wild for a moment

To say that Salieri killed A. Mozart is the same as saying that Michelangelo (or Leonardo da Vinci) killed Raphael. Why Pushkin did it - it is difficult to understand. But to continue to use it is doubly immoral. The irony (additionally) A. Mozart - borrows- musical topoi that Salieri created (it was not the other way around).

Salieri wrote such wonderful pieces and he still was jeleous of Mozart.

I've studied Salieri's life for years. I see no evidence he was jealous of anyone, even Mozart. Salieri was actually more successful than Mozart who was generally poor most of the time. Amadeus the movie is fiction.

How does one define as "moment of geniality" what he is listening too? I find this music quite pleasant and fascinating. I also enjoy and love Mozart but I never compare. Never. This music lives by herself.
