I met Dr. Webb 2 years ago at AMEC in Austin, TX when I was an MS1. He was a super nice guy but I had no idea who he was and I regret that. If I had known then, I would have taken advantage of that time and asked so many more questions. Super encouraged to see a black transplant surgeon too, and someone who actually has good things to say about transplant surgery for once! Really want to get on Dr. Watkins level one day

Doctor Webb, i hope you understand the message you are sending to young people of color that see how many amazing black doctors you feature on your channel. It really makes me proud to see how far we have come from once not being allowed to further our education because of discrimination to now a black man showing the world how diverse medicine is. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. 💜

What an amazing and impressive resume. I can’t imagine the hard work that Dr. Watkins had to endure; self-discipline, dedication, sacrifice, emotional and mental challenges; but he makes it sounds like “a walk in the park”. Congratulations Dr. Watkins and thank you.

I'm an international tax accountant...so nothing to do with medicine, but I'm obsessed with your channel! Your videos are very informative, interesting and inspirational . My mom was a doctor in Russia and when we immigrated to Canada 23 years ago her credentials meant nothing here. She started from scratch 10+ years ago and now is a GP resident in Australia at age 55. When you talk about patience and persistence, I totally see what you're saying.

Furthermore, I would like to suggest that if a patient isn’t a donor himself, then that person goes to the back of the line, behind donors awaiting organs.
@quantumcrash72665 жыл бұрын
This is a weird question, maybe, but I've heard that sometimes the personality/preferences of organ recipients can take on subtle hints of the donor's. Has anyone ever reported that in the follow up? ...or maybe I should stop reading taboids for medical info
