Waiting for comments at the end is a whole lot better than too many interruptions. No problem with the eyes closed and may try more of that myself! Love this song. Thanks

I also like the extra song facts, like the comment from Elton that you read.

I love this song; it shows off Elton's rocking side. The man has many many sides, all are fascinating. As far as your reactions, I say close your eyes, get the best first experience possible, then relay it to us. I have no problem watching you with your eyes closed. Whatever works best for you works best for me. As always Anton, great video!

Back in the day Elton was my favorite artist. This was my favorite song and I love when he starts the concert with this one. Too bad it didn't get more airplay. I have the album logo of this song tattooed on my forearm.

I remember buying this album (vinyl!!), in 1973 - I was 13! - just adored it so much, particularly 'Funeral for a friend/Love lies bleeding'. He's really excellent!!! 👌👌

Don't change anything. Just enjoy the music! Much more Elton to enjoy. Try the song called Come Down In Time from the excellent album called Tumbleweed Connection.

Elton is one of my favorite artists of all time but I gotta say, I saw Bon Jovi do a pretty rockin cover of this at a show in Philly about 20 years ago. 🙃

You commented that you think you've heard this before somewhere. It had probably been sampled, or been in a movie or commercial and so on. Looking back, I'm really glad that you experienced a sampling or slice of what was going on in the 70s because this album covers a lot of it and EJ is probably the best choice to show that off. I just realized, too, that your favorite song on this (Alice) has a little of many things going on in the decade. The song is rock, pop, indie, alt, folk, and r&b - it has elements of all of those genres, and that is also representative of the 70s - all over the place. I love your reactions. It's cool to listen to your reaction to this again!

Just tuned in not sure how this is going to go I would not have picked this song but I had no say ha ha love you let’s watch

He reacted to the whole album :) What song would you have picked? When I put this album up for consideration, he had heard Your Song and Tiny Dancer. If I was to pick one song after all of those and this album, I would pick Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters, I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues, Philadelphia Freedom, Take Me To The Pilot, and some others.

Hey Anton, when you closed your eyes and then started the air drumming it was natural and you were clearly immersed and enjoying the sounds. It reminded me of one time I was at school and performed a song by the Carpenters before the entire school during which I closed my eyes as a tool to emulate Karen Carpenter’s vocal at those particular points in the song. I was accused by a student afterwards of being “affected” and insincere. But my intention was to be as true to the original vocal performance as possible. I didn’t have the velvet of her voice but I definitely nailed the inflection. Stay true.

I know so many people hate this band, although I could never figure out why but...Nickleback did a cover of this, with Kid Rock. I think they did a great job of it.

I have no idea why people hate Nickelback either. I've always liked them. I never knew they did a cover of this song. I will check it out:)

There is something about this version that Kid Rock just cannot duplicate. I don't like his "update" of the lyrics at all. This is the only version of this song that makes sense for me. No Jack Daniels...yes to Gin.

Even as a kid I laughed at Elton singing about fighting, using switchblades and motorbikes. What a silly little queen.
