My favorite song of all time ❤

Listen to the guitar riff. It defines the song. Today's music is most of the times missing the guitar. Thats where the creativity begins. I've been playing guitar since the 90s and sometimes I'll pick it up and start improvising ,picking up a melody and start singing lyrics I had in my head. That's how it all starts

They're probably my favourite band of all time so glad to see you're enjoying them! For recommendations: - Broken (live is better) - First Time (live is better) - Flight (newer) - Cut and Run (newer) They have so many more great songs though !!

I can recognize Lifehouse, Switchfoot, and Anberlin songs by their intros. Sometimes for songs I haven’t heard before. I can feel the band in the music itself.

Lifehouse has changed my life. Love all their albums so far. They're not afraid to experiment and each album has a different sound, but Jadon Wade's voice and melodious tunes are always there. Also underrated songwriting.

I saw that moment of recognition of whatever it was. >.< This is honestly the only song I (know of) I've ever heard by them. It was played every five minutes on the radio when it came out. I did like it as soon as I heard his voice, and loved it when it hit the part where you said you've heard it. He was just 19 here is why he looks so different from the - I assume later - material you've heard before.

They were pretty big in early 00s. Their music was on the radio ALL the time but they faded out after the first couple albums. I have several of their CDs and always loved them. You’re right though…Nothing beats rock/alternative from 90s/00s.

@calicolombiano272 жыл бұрын
I feel like this song and “How you remind me” by Nickelback are the two perfect middle ground songs between early 2000s pop and rock. They have a touch of that late 90s post grunge feel that was dominating the radio at the time and the catchy pop melodies of the early 2000s. There’s aren’t really any other songs like them, which is why they were so huge.

Yeah there’s also the songs you remember as having been on the radio non stop. This would almost be like a filler song every time they needed one. Good song, but was way overplayed. A complication for releases sometimes.

Well, I was a teen when they started and they were quite young as well. I guess instead of doing like linkin park (they started around the same period).They choose to stay close to their relatives and friends rather than travelling around the globe. Which I suppose is a good decision if you just want to do what you like (music). Sometimes being a celebrity can ruin your life.

Why music sounds similar in different era's. The culture plays a part too. Especially when it comes to 90s and 00's with teen angst
@PuddleOfPizza2 жыл бұрын
This band started getting big around the time other bands like Nickelback, Creed, Puddle Of Mudd, and Three Doors Down were breaking out into the mainstream, So they ended up getting overshadowed. This is the only song I know by them and it was easily one of the most overplayed rock songs of the 2000's, It was EVERYWHERE

I'll forever love both this song and their song 'You and Me,' but man, it's impossible to find anything like this song. Every other song of theirs is a bit too butt-rocky and don't have the same vibe to them, at least for me. And when you look up songs similar to them, you just get a lot of shoddy songs that are nothing like it.

Love this song and band but do agree they should hsve been more famous.

Great band. I think they didn’t have as much commercial success as they should because they were a radio friendly Christian band like other great bands of the 2000’s.
@lesliedaubert14119 ай бұрын
So many great songs. You should listen to their song " Broken ". More of a ballad. Showing they can do different types of moods of songs. Music definitely has gone downhill. I don't remember when it started. But bands were great in the 90s, 2000s.
@wickamo Жыл бұрын
They were much bigger back when they were more current. I think they still perform but not like back then and Jason Wade the lead vocalist is still part of the band but the guitarist is different now. They were very successful and popular in their heyday, and it really doesn't make sense that you don't know them because you can't be engaged in the music scene and not have heard of Lifehouse.

This was an “on the radio every drive home from practice” song. Great, but was played almost for filler at times. They got buried under plenty of other bands at the time as someone else said. Early aughts were busting! Music has changed because the natural progression of hyper capitalism requires it. Everything from the musician themselves to their sound and all aspects of production and marketing are heavily commodified and dictated to the point of hollowness to ensure profiting. Music itself now exists as a product to directly sustain the industry rather than as an organic, independent and potentially revolutionary product of it.

The reason music has changed is purely marketing. Record companies realized people are more likely to engage in music thats easy to follow so the formula of music changed from soul to money... Disgusting if you ask me.
@antonreactstorock23 күн бұрын
At least for mainstream music. There is still a ton of heartfelt stuff in the rock realm and other genres.
@Eric-tg9ss23 күн бұрын
@@antonreactstorock this is very true. I find myself stuck in music from the 70s to about the early 2000s then as it become more elctronic i kindof lost interest. I cant remeber their name at the moment but theres a Led Zeppelin tribute band ive heard some music from and theyre so good i swear the wongs are old Zeppelin songs that were never released
