I love Anthony's poacher pie. Rumour has it that he authentically sources all of the ingredients.

Brown is savoury, white's the treat. Of course, I'm the one who's laughing because I actually love brown toast!

Like the sandwich but why where you worried about wasting the electricity but you not worried about wasting the food by trimming off the sandwich and disposing off the trim offs.

Does anyone know if Anthony is still on the pinch in the big supermarkets.
@raw57426 жыл бұрын
He gives it a relaxed 45 minutes in the Tesco's wine section then scarpers.

Anthony, teach us how to steal, these are hard times

Bit odd, putting the butter on the inside. Also, don't trim your toasties it just makes them leak. Doesn't matter if they are too big to fit, just gently push it closed (don't force it! Gentle yet persistent) and it will trim any excess itself. That way it makes a proper sealed edge. Operation of a toastie maker should be taught at school.

The sides don’t toast tho if the breads to big for the toaster

Furthermore... there is simply no need to butter the INSIDE of a toasted sandwich - the outside, yes, but the inside?. OR cut off the crusts (arguably the best bit - with the eventual crusty cheesiness). Also, I really can't see how the addition of a generous inner spurt of mayonnaise would add ANYTHING to the finished product apart from greasy slop, fat, and pointless, unnecessary calories. Bear in mind (depending on your choice of filling) you've already added cheese and ham. Utter madness.

Absolutely disgusting. Look how greasy they are at the end of cooking. No wonder he rather stole food from tesco than eat this crap

I’m pleased to say I can make them much better than that.. These were a council estate staple!! we all know he didn’t need the Mayo and butter (probably soaked through, they looked soggy) Leave the crust on and trim them after to seal them up.. and lastly, get that brown bread out of there!!!!
@mikeskitt6411 Жыл бұрын

@diggerpete93342 жыл бұрын
Why is the mayo fat when the bread has margarine spread on both sides!
@marklongmuir285 Жыл бұрын
Boring and soggy to look at, if you butter both slices of bread and fold over onto each other so the butter is on the inside, then place fillings and then place the first slice butter down and the second slice on top in to the sandwich toaster, once it’s cooked you will find is very crispy on the out side and then place your condiments onto top of that and enjoy. 😉🙏🏼
@desirocity9328 Жыл бұрын
this is mad... adding butter both sides and mayo and salt! not necessary. Also a waste of the edges.

In my experience, NOTHING needs to be pre-cooked - yes, including meat. The beauty of a toasted sandwich is that you can shove anything in, leave it for ages and it will be nicely crunchy and cooked when you can be bothered to venture back in to the kitchen.
@GMO--ge4ir Жыл бұрын

Rubbish toastie maker both the chef and the appliance. Soggy, undercooked. In all fairness I've never seen a great toastie made with any home sandwich maker
