They use to have one in one of the old Gen systems, called Sim ant. U choose between red ants and black ants, and also get to choose between being a worker or soldier ant. The goal was to grow ur colony, while fighting for the yard and house against the other colony of ants. It was awesome.

AntsCanada A plausible solution for the expansion would be shelving with a small strip on the edge of each shelve as a 'lip' to keep them from falling. It would give a bit more room since they would be expanded upwards, show the tube matrix a bit more (may need adjusting) as well as offer a potentially easier way to expand further in the future. The role of queen amid the ants is certainly curious. In some ways, just another specialisation, and yet from another perspective, the entire colony, seeing as the varied workers normally can't reproduce, only serve the nest to indirectly help their mother reproduce. On the one hand, guarded, shielded, given the most protection, on the other, if the queen doesn't move on her own, she'll be dragged. Supercolonies are so fascinating though, it's so rare for unrelated organisms to work cooperatively like this in nature

Hey Ants Canada, I had a little thought during this video. Have you considered getting an endoscope to get up close and personal with our little buddies? I've seen a few lower end ones that are quite reasonably priced, I'd be willing to send you one from out here in Britain if you'd cover shipping, but I think it would end up cheaper for you to buy one from the place you'require living.

I'm not telling you to do so But have you considered placing a small sample of cordyseps in a "dying" colony Or would that be a horrible idea for if the spores got out It would hurt other any colonies/the outdoor ecosystem
