ANU CAMPUS TOUR 2.0 | A week at The Australian National University | Canberra autumn Covid-free

My favorite season in Canberra is here! So I made an improved campus tour video featuring Canberra autumn. The tour includes ANU library, a gym, and mount Stromlo, among many other random things! Sneak and peak into a uni in a Covid-free city!

I'm a final year physics PhD student at The Australian National University. I make videos about PhD tips & tricks and sometimes random bits and pieces of my poor ass grad student's life. My thesis involves building a squeezed light system at the LIGO Hanford site and developing squeezed light technology for the future generations ground-based gravitational-wave detectors.

There used to be a cafe up there before Covid. Now you can just go up and walk about but you probably can't enter most places. They still have outreach activities though!

I always go for a walk around the ANU campus whenever I'm back in Canberra. Enough to make me wish I'd done a PhD

Nice video, just a coincidence come across your ANU campus tour. I am an ANU graduate, so your vlog reminds me the loooong time ago I spent in the campus (early 90's) around Hanna Neumann and Dedman buildings where my office situated. The old contraption on minutes 5:00-5:14, were timber transports equipment. It seems laid around Forestry/Environment school area/buildings.

Autumn this year has been weird. Trees aren’t turning red at the same time. Some spots on campus have yet to unleash its full potential while leaves in nearby neighborhoods have already fallen 🤔
