HI, I'M NUTSINEE.
I'm a final year physics PhD student at The Australian National University. I make videos about PhD tips & tricks and sometimes random bits and pieces of my poor ass grad student's life. My thesis involves building a squeezed light system at the LIGO Hanford site and developing squeezed light technology for the future generations ground-based gravitational-wave detectors.

I really hate doing lab work. And I don't understand anything. Please suggest me something . What should I do so that I perform well in labs. Also I don't understand the working of instruments

If you are a research student working on a project that requires you to be in the lab but you hate lab, I'd change the research topic. It's OK to change things after you find out you don't enjoy what you're doing. A theorist don't need to be in the lab for instance. But if this is part of your degree and you're required to be in it, well..... try and cry. At least get a C just to pass 😂
