From my experience the subject you will suffer with textbook is physiology For anatomy go for BDC or vishram singh it will fetch you good marks for exams and concept as well For biochemistry vasudhevan is better For physiology either gk pal or indhu khurana ak Jain is higly bullet points which is not so good Also all thses gold standard books are not for everyone Ganong is a review book means it has very few explanation and topics but is the best of you can find so is a reference book not primary book Guton good for concept not for exam for exam indian auther is a must Harper is also good concept but it's a complicated book so use as a reference For embryology don't buy ib singh either buy life in a womb by dr rose or langmann For histology Brijesh Kumar or ibsingh Goodluck guys

@Unreadable sapien Distinction is scoring more than 75% in a subject. Gold medal is topping in a subject from your college or uni. No method is better per se. It depends if you want to put 70 percent effort and get 85 percent result or put 100 percent effort to get 100 percent result. Near the top doing better takes exponentially more effort and time, you've to choose your way based on the way you want to live. Building good concepts is of utmost importance, I would highly discourage only reading books like Sembu etc. If you want the Goldilocks way, reading one good textbook per subject but clearing every difficulty through your teacher, Google, KZbin should be the way.

The embryology mentioned in your book was just an exact copy paste of Galen's work which was done 500 year ago before quran even came into existence..& there are many blunders like modern embryology says bones and flesh form at the same time(from mesoderm) while in quran they talk about formation of bones first and then wrapping it up with flesh. Obviously they didn't have so much knowledge that time, so being a science student read more before preaching something

Who reads these books,I got these books from our college for rs 16 thousand and all got waste because there we don't get time to read this, just buy BDC or vishram singh for anatomy and go pall or sambhulingam for physiology and satayaanarayan or Vasudevan for biochemistry that's it only these 3 books means Taking about embryo it's allready given in BDC or vishram singh and only that much is important for exam.

Okay so before starting the video I counted the books in thumbnail and they are around 17 to 18.and during our neet preparation we just read 10 books including 11th and 12th(counting only NCERTs). So from 10 books to 18 books, That's huge. Heart attack aajayega bhaiya college jaate hi😧😧😱

Don't worry if you stick to a few books and study regularly 3 hours from 1st day and don't miss any practicals you'll be fine and score in the upper quartile. These books are needed if you want distinction and gold medals which aren't worth it imo

actually Vishram Singh is better than BDC, for anatomy! they are point wise, less confusing, neat exam friendly diagrams. the content is amost same as BDC, but i wud say it's much more better than BDC,as a 1st year passed out!
