Great as always!! Dude may I ask how do you tune your drum kit? Kick,Snare,toms. You tune them on any specific notes if yes what are they? Or can you make a demo video showing how you tune a kit? That'd be helpful to all the drummers out there. :) Regards.

How do you mix the snare like that!!?!?!? It sounds so good man!
@discoveryzero28979 жыл бұрын
He seems to generally process the drums quite hard. This is great for a modern sound in my opinion :) Use parallell compression, compression, and enveloper quite hard and you will get a heavy sound. Sweep with the EQ to remove pitches you dislike. For snare, around 300 is a frequency that makes it sound non optimal. Also, High pass filters on everything is good. Including on the kick drum. So use a slope at around 20-40hz to remove some of that nasty bass buildup from the insividual drums, and your mixes will sound alot cleaner :) But I definitely recommend using the enveloper alot. It's an amazing tool for drums.
@discoveryzero28979 жыл бұрын
Oh, and btw, using overdrive is very useful. Only for kick, toms and snare though. It's not good on overheads. Only EQ for those at most. Overdrive on the snare and kick will give the drums a much tighter sound, which is great for this kind of sound. In combination with the other things I mentioned, you can get a really nice sound. Just be careful not to overdo anything.

which is better? 14" Byzance Brillinat Hihats. or 14" Byznance Traditional Hihats?
@asdrummer20089 жыл бұрын
I don't think you could go wrong with either. They both have respective applications, and I think its all preference when it comes down to it!
@waveemann88579 жыл бұрын
silver sif If it helps, the brilliants will be brighter and project a little bit much, whereas traditional ones will be a bit darker and have a slightly muted stick definition compared to the brilliants. I'd say if you're not sure where you fit musically or you want to cover as many bases as possible I'd go with traditional hats.

Awesome vid as is everyone you do. However this one more than others i feel like the bass drum sounds too over-processed. Not sure why it is standing out more in this video than others but it is, in my opinion, over powering your kit and does not sound good with this particular track. The playing is great however! Just though i would voice my opinion.
