CRAZY COLOR Hair Dye in CANDYFLOSS // *HERE WE GO AGAIN *

I bought a pack of x 4 of the cANDYFLOSS hair dyes by Crazy Color from Amazon.
I love the shade but it does wash out much faster compared with other pink dyes that i’ve tried (and i’ve used a few!)

Hey I’m a hairstylist and we usually come across this problem because certain parts of your hair may be slightly more yellow than others. The crazy colour will stick to the more whiter/ashy blonde areas of your hair, but if there’s a slight yellow tone, it goes this weird peachy colour!

Oh, and some tips: apply this dyes on dry hair, left in the hair for an hour or more, wash the hair in cold water, and a good tip is buy a brighter/darker pink and dilute it with conditioner, that way you save money and you can achieve other shades

Awesome tips.. and, granted I've never done the lighter, pastel shades that I'm sure are harder to do but anytime I've done my grapes or deep turquoises I find they grab better on dirty hair. Not dirty, but like two day old hair that's brushed out.

@@rosiellagrace pastel shades aren't really difficult to do, the main problem with them is that they don't last much, but you can do a really big amount mixing them in case you want yo reapply or do a mixture a bit less pastel so when the colour washes out you have the shade you want. I never ever used semi-permanent hair dyes in a bit dirty hair, I will try in the future when I redye my hair, thanks for the tip!

@@mervisa89 my worry always was where we have well water, it'd turn my hair too brassy with the lighter shades. I'd still love to do a light lavender and bright yellow, just not until I move, LOL. I remember a stylist uncle of mine telling me about dirtier hair holding perms and colour better ages ago and it's always worked for me; it'll grab the colour within minutes and then just set in. My hair doesn't get too oily, though, so it definitely depends on your hair when it'd be the right kinda 'dirty', if that makes sense. One or two nights after a wash, just before any oils start building up.

@@rosiellagrace Rose Ella-Grace do you mean having heavy metals in the water? A way to clean the hair in that case is chelating it (washing your hair once a month with dishwash soap and lemon), that way your hair won't turn overly brassy. If that's not the problem then I don't know the solution aside to chelate the hair. I knew that about permanent dyes but I never guessed that could work for semi-permanent ones! It's a really cool tip!

I always use Crazy Colour on dry hair ..and leave it on for around two hours , or till it really starts running ...which it does do ! 😟 as the “foam” turns to a clear liquid ..then it normally lasts me about 2/3 months ( I wash my hair once a week with baby shampoo ) my hair is thick and come to my bum xx

I love crazy colour it’s my favourite range of bright colours ...one of the reasons it’s not giving you even coverage is because those sections of your hair are slightly darker you need very light hair for pastel shades. I recommend buying the bright pink from crazy colour and diluting it with a white conditioner save ££££ and you can create your own custom shades something else you can do is to sleep in the dye because it’s conditioner based it will leave your hair super soft 🙂 hope that helped 🙂 I’ve been dying my hair for many years 🙂 btw I once used magenta by stargazer and made the mistake of washing it off I. The shower and managed to dye my whole body pink haha x

I get my crazy hair colour kicks vicariously through you. I've been dyeing my hair since perms went out of fashion in the late 80s (I think it was the law to have a perm before that) I could be as grey as a badgers arse under all my layers of Garnier natural dark red but I've no intentions of finding out. I never had the guts to bleach it though. I had a colleague who had that whole tattooed/ vintage look going on and she dyed her hair teal green, looked amazing. She got married recently and looked the perfect mermaid bride. Were I in my 20s I'd be up for some mad colours but my works contract forbids it. In fact the contract reads, " We don't care what Anwen says, no mad colours or you'll be in the dole queue come Monday"

I’d say it’s because you still have some red in your hair, when I go pink my hair has to be completely white or ash, if I’m a little red the pink goes like an orange peach tone.. my hair goes exactly the same as yours if my hair is not white. It looks better this time round though x

Towel dryed hair is deffo still too wet! Sort it out crazy colour! 😂😂 I've always just applied it to dry hair and can't complain about any shade I've used apart from "marshmallow" - couldn't get that to stuff to take at all on bleached hair! The difficult thing with pastels is that you really have to know your colour theory. If there is any brassiness in your hair, the red in the dye will kind of make an orange/peach. If you haven’t lifted all the pigment from your hair, there is going to be a lot of variation of tones. I think Anwen’s hair looks beautiful! Dry hair absorbs more colour than wet hair, so maybe mixing the dye a bit darker and diluting it with a conditioner before putting it on would be a good idea.

Hi Anwen, I have pink hair. I keep it pink using the shwarzkopf xxl pink (either shoking pink or watermelon ), diluted with any white conditioner. You only need a a small blob to conditioner ratio, so it lasts ages and is very cheap. It also conditions your hair amazingly. I just top it up once a week for about 5 mins. Simples xx

I've found the denman debop brush is amazing at spreading colour in your hair also if there are sulphates in your shampoo it will strip the colour back out also using hot water will open your cuticles and release the colour even more so best to use Luke warm water x

When u going to wash it retouch it put some of the hair die in conditioner and put it on and leave it in for like 30 mins and wash ur hair that’s what I do to keep my color nice and it keeps it from not fading so quick I use any white conditioner and I mix it

I've used crazy colour for years and never had a problem. The colour is always uniform and intense! It does stain everything it touches though. Including my pillow case where I sleep and towels every time I wash it. Small price to pay for lovely colourful hair though 😁

I've used crazy colour for years. I use to use the cyclamen which was really good and lasting I did try the candy floss years ago and it didn't take anywhere near aswell as hers. Found it better to use darker colors and let them fade for this look. Bought pinkissimo colour lately and it was rubbish so faded I used a pound shop blue over it and got a nice purple but found the pinkissimo has instantly come out . Making me wonder if crazy color products have gone down hill or wherever just got a unlucky bottle

Have you tried Arctic Fox? I picked up the shade electric paradise yesterday and I'm going to put it on today or tomorrow. A lot of people have recommended it but it is a bit expensive here in the U.S.

It depends on how damaged your hair is instructions say start at the roots BIG NO NO they are the hotest parts of your hair and will take more colour, start from the mids ends then roots, incubate maybe with a shower cap to keep the heat in, but if your hair is pourus in places it won't grab the colour due to damage, also putting dye on wet or damp hair dilutes the colour put it on dry hair, hope this helps

I think if your hair will be all white/platinum (like by me), then it will cover everything. I was looking for youtubers who tried this bc I use only Blond Me-products and I was curious for Crazy Colours... it's pretty colour! And like somebody already said, I dye my hair when they are dry and indeed more than 40min. But this second time is so much better!

Your answer... Its overtone! Its haircare with dye in it..and some amazing pinks...you do the deep condition for your dye job then keep depositing colour every time you wash.. Its a little pricey but they have THAT great candyfloss colour..not too purple.. Like so many pinks can be... And they have come out with a rose gold now too... If pink is your thing..it maybe worth it. Check it out... The cheaper version I use right now is just use white shampoo and conditioner.. With my dye in it to keep up my colours... Same idea..but less $ I do like overtone though for its range of pinks as pastel pink is a difficult one..so many are way too purple and overtone has that perfect candyfloss... I would definitely add the crazy colour dye to at least your conditioner...a white conditioner. I have just discovered you and I am currently trying to binge watch your videos. Its so lovely to find another "grown up" who loves pink hair and lace socks ;)

Hello Anwen, it turned out gorgeous! the places it doesn't show as much do that because they aren't as light as the rest of your hair. for light shades like that every strand has to be as light as possible. I am a stylist with a penchant for looking like a crayon from time to time. Also, leaving it in a bit longer helps. any way much love and enjoy being a candy princess

You can use the trick I use to dye my hair. I comb it in with a big comb after massaging it into my hair.

So wash hair, dry it with a hairdryer than dye it and let it sit in your hair as long as you can... Bleached hair clings to water for longer, the damaged parts at least, and too much water and dye can do this, patchy . It is logical if you think about it. Good that you did on the dry hair, look good. I am going to use fire and ruby rouge colors to refresh my red.

The area where it hasn't taken, your hair is still quite yellow, hence it turning that peach colour now. You need it to be nearer to white, as with the other areas of your hair where it did take was white. Please don't call yourself a nonce... You do what that means?
