This is me. I have already scheduled an appointment to discuss with my options with my dr. I didn't have any issues until my 14th week. I've never had anxiety in my life until then. It hit hard and unrelentingly. I'm due for my shot today but I'm not taking it until after discussing with my dr. I wish more ppl were talking about this side of the glp journey. Thanks for taking a seat at the table instead of brushing it under the rug like so many do.

I’ve used ozempic and victoza. Both have caused a low blah mood. Victoza caused it on the first dose and ozempic caused it on the first dose of 1.0. I’m diabetic also on Zoloft and Wellbutrin.

Thank you so much for this. I going through this now and I thought I was losing my mind at first, I am on weqovy the lowest dosage and on my 4th shot it took to an anxiety and panic attack. My doctor told me to immediately stop taking it. So I am on my 4th week of nothing and I am still having panic attack, I thought I could fight this on my own with family and my husband has be great. SoI going to talk to my doctor again because I need help.

This is interesting… I was previously on an anxiety medication and since starting GLP1 I had weaned off, however I did just start back up on my medication as I feel my anxiety ramping up again… I didn’t consider until your video - I had switched from Zepbound back to semaglutide - I am betting this has something to do with it.

I'm on 10mg and the anxiety has become crippling all of a sudden. I called my endocrinologist and she made me feel like it was all in my head. I quote "The studies show that the medicine actually improves depression and anxiety". Cue the eye roll from me. We are going to go down to 7.5 and see if that helps . I'm bummed because the meds work so good for my diabetes and weight. I just think I will have to at least take a break if going down doesn't help. The weird thing is the anxiety only hits at the midweek point as the meds go to half life. So frustrated

I have anxiety normally. But I haven’t had anxiety on this med. I’m tritating up to 7.5 in 4 weeks. Something to watch over. I have a psychiatrist visit every month for bipolar so I have a lot of support if I need it. My anti psychotics are actually an anti anxiety med as well at the 10 mg dosage if I need it.

Interesting I’ve had panic attacks and anxiety lately I’m on ozempic I have been on these medication for six months. I never thought about the medication being the cause thanks for the information

WOW, Ali!!!! This JUST happened to me yesterday. My doctor changed my dose of Ozempic to 2.0 which I took on Tuesday. Yesterday, I had terrible anxiety. Not the first time for me, but this came out of nowhere. I am on anti anxiety medicine and an anti depressive med. Today I am feeling much better. I will definitely mention to my doctor when I see her next time if this happens again. I thought it might be from the Ozempic, but then thought that was crazy. I really appreciate your video today. I want to start mounjaro but listening to all this people having panic attacks and anxiety makes me not want to take it. As I have only got rid of them about a year ago

Not everyone gets them. Most are short and go away in a short time

Wow!! I just started a new job and the day before had a very real panic attack which is unlike me. I almost didn't go. I made it and it was ok after all but it scared me and that moment was really hard. Thank you!!! I did not understand why this happened to me at all.

Another good video! I actually didn't know that anxiety and panic attacks were even possible with this medication until I saw Celina's video. I had a mild panic attack the 2nd week and never realized it could have been the Zepbound. Honestly, I thought it was anxiety about the weight loss and started looking for a therapist that specialized in disordered eating. I have been struggling with binge eating my whole adult life. This is actually the 4th time as an adult losing weight; first was a starvation diet, second was weight watchers, third was Keto, and now Zepbound. I really was looking for a therapist because I want to deal with my disordered eating so I don't gain it all back again. I don't know about anyone else but I had to really push my doctor to prescribe Zepbound. I started with 75lbs to lose, bmi is 35.6, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, really high insulin resistance, but her argument is that my A1C is only in the prediabetic range. I really have to rely on my own research to know anything about Zepbound. I don't want to find a new doctor but may have to go to one that specializes in obesity medicine, but that is an additional expense on top of the Zepbound that my insurance won't cover. It is so frustrating, what do I do? Wait until my A1C is 7.7 and my insurance covers me under Mounjaro? I'm a 51 year old woman that went through medical menopause at 48 and a slew of medical issues but not one of them being diabetes. If it was hard to get to a healthy weight when I was younger and healthier, it seems impossible now without medication. Sorry. This response lead to a vent. 😞

My doctor has really been great about this aspect. I see her every 3 to 4 months because I am diabetic and every time I see her she asked me about anxiety and depression and if I’m noticed any changes in how I feel and she did warn me about this when I started this journey last August, and that I immediately sent her a message if this is something I am experiencing. I am grateful for that guidance.
