Is this fan made LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog Chemical Plant Zone MoC any good?!
In this video we are going to review this LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog Chemical Plant Zone level MoC and ask the question “Is it any good and who does it appeal to”? After Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone is arguably the next recognizable level from the early SEGA Sonic games.
This model was designed by Flowqi and the Stud.io file is available for free on rebrickable.com:

We will see how this extension joins up with the official release Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO Ideas set 21331 that was just released January 1st, 2022. We will touch upon a few little errors in the digital file and look at the extension I added. We will then round it out with a time-lapse of the whole build.

i as a kid could never get past chemical plant without "cheats" so this would be a great place to leave of and keap it as these two zones to show i could never get past them. love this. wish lego expand on these sets and branch out the zones like they "kinda" did for the mario "sets".

Yeah that boss was always a little tricky trying not to fall while the platforms were spinning. Did you never play 2 player battle mode which gave you access to level casino night zone and the forest level?

I’m not a fan of the green chemical water but I do get it if certain pieces don’t exist in clear purple and in sonic mania there’s a green jelly in chemical plant that makes you jump really high so that could be a nice feature

Yep they did the aquatic zone and I've seen a few other ones like you mentioned - starlight, labyrinth, carnival night etc

@@mattelderif they ever make anymore sonic sets I think those would be the best minifigs instead of just giving us the same sonic in every set, I also thought of stardust speedway with Amy and metal sonic but I feel like more people have memory’s of sonic 1,2 and 3&k then cd but due to sonic origins it might be more likely then before. But the likely hood of these sets actually happening are still low

@@mattelder The yellow is actually the arm the spider is attached to that moves it on the rail. It's not a bee. Suroguner is right. also, it's not Eggman until the dreaded Adventure garbage. Look up Dr Robotnik's origins and you'll see. Eggman was the original Japanese name until Dreamcast made his name that way everywhere, including the US where Sega wanted Dr. Robotnik (Kintobor spelled backwards)

@@NCXDesigns We grew up in Australia which operates on the same PAL system as Japan (USA operates on NTSC). Thus we'd get games ported over from Japan and would have a combination of Eggman and Robotnic naming. We'd also get the japanese dubbed cartoons in the 1990s. Its interesting how you can use colour to get things confused ... ah the joys of 8/16 bits.

You need to create a bricklink account on bricklink.com and "link" to rebrickable. Go to the rebrickable page with the sonic moc. Select the part Inventory. rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-97059/Flowqi/chemical-plant-zone-extension-for-21331/#parts Click "add parts to bricklink wanted list". You create a new parts list and then add all the parts. It should confirm / ask you to login to bricklink.com Go to bricklink and "wanted list". Select the wanted list. There should be a button "buy all", click this. Select what country / region. It may then ask you to confirm a minimum amount and take you to another page. This will probably show you a number of different shops that sells various parts. You'll need to click "create carts". Then you'll need to go through each individual seller and pay for each seller separately. Hopefully that gives you an overview.

I didn't have much of classic Sonic as a kid. I grewup on nintendo and playstation and didn't have anny Sonic games. My exspieriance with Sonic was the satam cartoon. I'm realy into these Sonic legos. Mario didn't catch my atention cause it didn't hame minifigures. With little exspieriance on the Sonic games I just want to get some sets and build some funn imaganitive stuff that would be good for the sonic universe like machines and robots for Robotnic and some fun scenes like a sonic beach house or something. I even thought a giant Sonic mech would be fun going head to head against the deathegg.
