I pretty sure you can get it work on 18.1 because shortcuts save the file still works I think you need to check gester file to see what Apple changed in 18.1

Worked wonderfully for me on my iPhone 13! The good thing is that when nothing is going on with the Dynamic Island it just disappears from view and you can summon it by tapping that top area. Even if something is happening you can swipe the dynamic island away to hide it and the blob disappears. It's pretty neat!

Super nice tweak. But keep in mind that this will drain the battery much faster than iPhones that have native support for this. Plus, this will cause screen burn-in of the OLED screen much faster than the 14, 15, & 16 Pro series.
