@@moustiboy type 1 is a whole different ballpark. The bloodsugar is much more volatile and can change from "ok" to low bloodsugar in a matter of minutes.

Dynamic island is at its peak when I sit in a bus stop and the island tells me the exact time the bus comes, and also updates without having to open the app. It saves me from the usual panic where I have to constantly open g maps and check where the bus is and how delayed it is. Really useful feature considering that i am a frequent public transport user.

Honestly the Dynamic Island is one of my favorite features period. I almost always have some sort of timer (clock app, Forest), music or podcast (Spotify), or even my workout tracker (Hevy) going in the background. Even my weather app (Carrot) will bubble up when it’s about to start raining. It has genuinely made my life easier and I’ll be sad to see it go in the future.

The problem with a Dynamic Island is that they moved so called “fast actions” to the upper part of the enormous display, which means it is not possible to use it one hand, and if you need to use 2 hands - there is almost no practical sense with it apart from the visual appeal.

I really don't understand the negativity of the dynamic Island. I find it very useful for exercising and listening to music, setting timers while cooking, live sports scores, battery and flashlight and Apple Carplay. Complaining people who say; Yes, but I find the dynamic island very disturbing while watching a movie or gaming. It is a telephone, and with a telephone you call, message and read news and results. If you want to play games, buy an Xbox, PS5, a desktop or a laptop.

I could heavily argue if you just want to call message and read news don’t buy a $1000 iPhone. I have no problem with the Dynamic Island, but the whole point of the iPhones creations was to merge phone with iPod. That was Steve Jobs vision. A phone that can do it all including movies, games, internet, ect. 70% of my phones usage is KZbin alone. You can’t count out the people who find it “disturbing” when consuming media on a multimedia device. And also try to just call an iPhone a phone. It’s much more than that. A bigger thing to say is they should just buy an android if they have that much of a problem with the island. Never gets in my way gaming or watching videos. And I’m privileged enough to work a job that I can turn Netflix on in the background while I work. But I can see where people who don’t like the island are coming from. That extra screen space would be nice but it’s not the end of the world for me.

Cruelly, you did give me some ideas. I had my action button as a quick way to get to translate. Which isn’t bad. But maybe I’ll change it to where the camera is since we have a camera button now. Then make the quick action button my screen record if that’s available since I do that quit often.

doesnt work for Google map. You on have an indication that map is running for Google. Apple map you actually get the distance before next turn and it will enlarge to tell you around 800ft of a turn. So doesn't work with Google Map correction.

Yeah, I had a cull of my subscriptions recently and Spotify is one that pays for itself with my family covering the cost. Debating whether I take out the apple one family subscription which is insanely expensive though, but includes everything.
