Hi, I'm a sewing and cosplay beginner and I think your tutorials are super helpfull! I want to start with the casual Anya dress tho (I already saw your tutorial on that one a while ago). I'd like to know if it is possible to wash those diy cosplays in the washing mashine? I'm really afraid that if I make them and want to wash them that everything decomposes and all the work was for nothing ... Also how much sewing knowledge do you think I need to make the school uniform? Because it looks more complicated but also you make it look easy so I can't say how hard it really is ...

Thank you for your feedback! :) I prefer to wash my self made cosplays in the washing machine, no bad experiences so far :) To answer your questions: For washing in the machine it really depends on the fabric(s) you use and how you put everything together. If all fabric pieces are only glued together, then it will come off everywhere. Sewing it properly with thread will hold everything right together. Make sure the seams are all closed, also at the ends. A very important point is also how the fabrics are supposed to be washed (temperature, soap, etc.) . For example if you use jersey fabric then washing it on low temperature (30°C or 40°C) should be fine, but if you go higher there is no guarantee how it will turn out. If it's pure cotton and you go 60°C+ then it definitely will get smaller or if you have sensitiv fabric like chiffon you will use hand-wash-mode on the washing machine, low tumble speed. Following recommend washing instructions is key. Washing instructions for each kind of fabric are either on the page you order from or the seller should know it. Googling it can also help.

And for how much sewing eyperience you need for the school uniform, I honestly don't know 🤔 You should definitely know the basics, which needle to use on which fabric, casting raw edges, etc. to have a nicer result. Maybe having watched and understood some other videos on how to create sleeves. And how to put bias tape on corners (for the collar). I'm no pro and self taught through videos myself so take my opinion with a grain of salt. 🙈

Very good but where’s the ribbon?
@Angealy02_Ай бұрын
@@lassanim2746 I didn't make the ribbon for the video. It's only the dress.

PLEASE HELP so, what have i done wrong when my chest line is shorter than shoulder line?

Remote diagnosis without details or pictures is really hard and it's almost impossible for me to give you pointers, so take everything with a grain of salt. From the top of my head I can think of a few possibilities, but I don't know if anything of these apply to your problem: The horizontal shoulder line with the value (shoulder/2) (03:59) should be marked from the center vertical line not from the outer neckline curve. It can get confusing really fast if not used to pattern drafting. Another thing is the chest area needs to be done at the widest area, for women it would be around the largest part of the breasts as seen in the video and for men probably the largest part of the pectoral muscle. Yet another thing is to stick to one measurement system, either metric or imperial, just stick to one and don't mix the values.

I honestly cannot believe how much effort went into making the gold parts (the rainbow-like design seems soooo hard 🥲😅)

Thank you for recognizing my effort 😭, I also had a lot of anxiety while drawing the rainbows, was really scared to screw that up and ruin the fabric 😅
