This is a tutorial on how I made Frieren's cape from the anime Frieren: Beyond journey's end.
First there is a black chocker thing for below the collar. Make this one first, because while wearing it the neck has a different circumference than without. We need to measure while wearing it to dermine collar and cape size.
The cape is basically a three quarter skirt, where the waistline is your neck circumference :D
The length needs to be adapted on different parts due to the shoulder anatomy.
The lower "corner" at the front with the golden trim is a little bit tricky as it is an inset corner, but I tried to make it as comprehensible as possible. If you don't want a neat lining with the seams hidden then it's not really complicatd.
At the end the collar is added.
Material:
- French Terry Sweat (or any other thin sweat) in off-white
- Jersey stretch fabric in black
- Satin in gold (or any other golden fabric you want)
- Satin or some other lining fabric in any white
- light and medium interfacing
- red buttons for the decor
- some snap buttons for the black neck warmer thing
- patience for the inset corners
