The flipped tree thing (example at 17:05) is a native hunting trick. They pull the tree up, hack most of the limbs, flip it and plant it back with the root base as a platform, either for lookouts or as a hunting tower, usually near a river. Leave a hunter with a harpoon, he gets a whale and ties the harpoon off til the water drains, calls the tribe, amd they feast. My camp actually had a few that had been turned into a lookout tower and a swingset.

When I was a kid we went camping and had to go up the hill (in our car) to make a call (because I'm 37 and cell reception sucked back then) due to being in a valley of sorts and surrounded by trees that blocked reception. So we go up the hill and something HUGE and hairy runs in front of our car and hightails it into the trees (it was night time, for reference, so this made it scarier). It wasn't a bear because it was UPRIGHT (and it was thinner than a bear)! I've always been a skeptic when it comes to Bigfoot and most cryptids, but we couldn't explain it. And NONE of us were willing to get out of the car lol. My step-dad was like 'we're going to make the call in the car and head back to camp'. We slept in the motor home because we were too scared to sleep in the tent after that. I don't know if what we saw was an actual Bigfoot but I've never forgotten that or how scared we were of it, and I learned later that the National Forest in which the campground is located had the second most Bigfoot sightings in the entire state of California at that time (Stanislaus National Forest, if you want to know which one).

Just wanna say I am LOVING the true crime, murder, mystery, cryptid videos lately. Oh you should totally do a video on the Bennington Triangle. It’s kinda of a similar case to this one where it’s an area that’s had some really weird disappearances where there’s either no trace of the person ever found again or they’re found murdered in mysterious ways. I remember one story was of these friends that went out hunting in the mountains there (they were very familiar with the area mind you) and one of them went up over a ridge and once his friends got to the top like a minute later he was just gone. They searched for him for days and when they finally found his body it was a ways away, his gone was either smashed or missing can’t remember, there was a single shell casing found in the area but no bullet, and his cause of death was his rib cage being crushed. They didn’t find him under anything that indicated how he’d been crushed but that’s how he died. And the mountains within that area was said to be cursed by the local native tribes😱

Bears are known to eat people. That's why the bear attack survival rhyme goes “Black fight back, brown get down, white good night.” So, yeah, saying, "the bears won’t hurt you," is just false.
@Conurequeen9924 ай бұрын
@@Rednecknerd_rob9634depends on were you are, they will hurt you if they are hungry and grumpy or a polar bear. Look up the difference between brown bears and grizzly bears, they are the same species but they live in different areas and have different attitudes. Normally a black bear or a brown bear would not hurt you unless provoked, which could just be you startling it so just be careful. UNLESS they have cubs, stay the fvck away from any bears with cubs obviously. Idk what it’s like in Canada this is based off of Alaska. I would love to see a sasquatch hunt on your channel. Also if you would do a deep dive on Andrei Chikatilo. I would love to watch that! Love your channel!

I would LOVE to see you search for it!!! I’m itching to go looking myself just watching this! Do keep in mind if you do, even if it doesn’t turn out to be a Sasquatch, it very likely could be an entity watching over the land. Like a guardian. Keep all possibilities in mind.

There’s a good bit of native lore that suggests he’s a protector of the forest. So the fact that he’s going after people who are hurting the environment with mining, logging, fishing …seems on point.

We have trees like this in florida. Its a certain type of palm tree that looks like its flipped upside down, but its just the way it grows. Its pretty wonky
@Mania264 ай бұрын
@@PoisonAsh Yea our tree growing like that is just one of pine. It looks so werid and almost "fake", so if someone don't know about trees growing lika that can be little bit confused xD

@@karma.esme.16 Exactly. Devil Town is basically, lyrically, an town where troublemakers are allowed to run away to, where the police won't go, an escapism from troubles and the troubled.
