It's fun how they've recreated the cheezy 80s special effects, recording flaws, and filming gimmicks. I have to wonder which is harder, using the original 80s equipment to make the original effects look as good as it can for the era, or forcing modern equipment to simulate that.

A great tribute to a mostly over looked movie. For what I think was a made for TV movie it was pretty good. Not the Stupendiums best work by any margin but you can feel the honest joy of a personal project. And lets be honest few people could ever replace Tim Curry in any his songs or roles.

I hold that the special effects in this scene weren't edited into the movie, but generated by Tim Curry's own innate wizardry. They only look cheesy because the cameras of the era were woefully inadequate for capturing the grandeur. Stupendium, therefore, is a technological wizard, able to use machinery to duplicate the power of Curry. Well done!

Our tiny watch party was rocking the rereleased halloween shirts to mark the occasion. The white suit/cape combo gave me such awesome Christmas in Heaven with Graham Chapman vibes it really sealed the deal! Since this pairs with Christmas in the Backrooms, it was more than suitable. (Also, quite refreshing for a viewer, too, to see a smaller project for a change.)
