I know this was ages ago, but that's a grinding disc, not a cutting disc. Its not made to cut and can be dangerous to use a grinding disc to cut. Its manufactured to have it's pressure in a certain direction. Just like cutting discs aren't meant to grind.

No you just went over different ways of cutting things & visited somebody with a cutting laser that I think was used for engraving or maybe cutting thin material? The quote from the notebook segment that stuck with me was "Someday I hope everybody can have their own cutting laser." Thanks for the quick response, by the way!

A good, basic, casual use grinder, is around $50, when they are on sale, at a variety of stores. You'll need an extension cord, (Around $25) of course, and a package of grinder disks, too. A good, basic, disk package is around $30. You will not have a hundred blades, but, if you are careful, they last a long time.... The welding stuff is considerably more expensive, and in some places you may need a basic course and license, so as to buy supplies. (It depends on location.)

Why people insist on using rebar just because it is cheap, it looks the way it does because it is meant to be buried in concrete! Spend a couple of extra dollars and just buy round stock! I used to have the biggest hard on for Mag when I was a youngin...wait it is still there!
