Thank you, Doug. I do not believe I would have stumbled on this on my own without your help.

Doug, if you set in the camera for the dial to turn the ND on/off, then when you rotate dial, you can use the dial to engage the ND filter without using the button on the camera.

Have you heard of a way to convert LANC to another protocol like IP or something so you can run it a fair distance and then convert it back to LANC somehow? Thanks for the great videos Doug.

I have not

Great review! I wonder if this will also work for Canon camcorders? I have a couple simple rocker-style LANC zoom controllers for my Canon XA11 and XA65. Most LANC controllers work for both Canon and Sony because LANC is a standard. All I really need is zoom and focus... although iris would be good too. I know Panasonic uses a different protocol... but Canon and Sony have always used regular LANC. Do you have any Canon camcorders to test? Thanks! Though at this price... I might just buy one to test it out! 😎

I don't have any Canon camcorders to test. I'd bet, though, that some features like zoom and focus would work. Anything else is going to be a gamble.

Hey Doug. , is that Sony Z-200 that your using have better picture quality than the Z-150. , and is it worth upgrading to the Z-200 over the Z-150 as far as a overall quality 😮
@kevinbooth68654 күн бұрын
It has better quality than the Z150, for that wouldn't be the reason to buy one. The feature set is, and the age of your Z150. I have both, and will still use the Z150. The feature set of Z200, is both outputs can be used at the same time, and either port can have display out, on or off. Great for monitoring, and using the other output, for Multi Camera Production, plus if you use the simple SONY MCX 500 video swicther, you'll have the tally function on the monitor for your camera operator, that is more useful info than whether the image quality is better. The question valid, but moot. Of course the image is better.

Does it work with Panasonic?
@djp_video5 күн бұрын
No. It uses LANC for control, which Panasonic doesn’t support.

This is a great poor man's RCP. How far away from the camera could you put it? Let's say something like 250m would be feasible?
@djp_video6 күн бұрын
I don't really know the distance limitations on LANC or their wireless connection. 250m really seems like it would be pushing the limits though.
