The auto-healing on all the scholars was turned off so they were standing around not doing anything. I forget what causes them to be produced like that

12:10 you mentioned retreating and suddenly the range increases for those archers. Don't ranged units get a little extra range when firing down on enemies from an elevated position, cuz Im pretty sure that applies to walls but i'm not sure about hills or cliffs

No, I think it has to do with the last volley. The last volley of arrows gets an extra tile range just like towers or the TC does. Higher elevation just gives your units more line of sight which might look like a range increase I think but since they weren't near a forest they had pretty good vision each so the elevation wouldn't count for much.

I think the counter for this is to build more outposts, delay going to castle so that you can build more troops to place inside those outposts and build some mangonels once you do finally get to castle. But don't consider going to castle until either the Delhi player goes to castle or after you've won a major battle against the Delhi. I don't yet think that it's OP. If it's OP, then the English Network of Castles should be considered even more OP.

I bind units to 1,2,3 and buildings 4 barracks, 5 archery, 6 stable. Caps lock cycles through scholars. F2 is good for selecting all eco buildings and spamming tab and qwer to get all the techs in queue.

Did you accidently turn the auto heal off by hitting the hotkey for it?

So I did discover that having the auto heal toggle on is important. Not sure how it got turned off...maybe I just bumped it. Would be curious if anyone else had noticed weird things with the auto heal. I did notice that if one scholar in the group has auto heal toggled on and you have a group of them selected, it will appear as though they all have auto heal on, despite that not being the case.
