I learned very shortly after starting with a major corporation, to always keep a digital voice recorder in my pocket. Saved me a few times and even got some pompous azz fired. I wouldn't turn it on unless things got out of hand and then just pull it out and put it on the table. If objected to, I left the conversation. Though I do believe that Shinya was kind of a power-hungry jerk, he IS, ironically enough, kind of right on some things, namely, statistically, people prefer to have bright and agenda free video games than to have ones that are always grim, dark, and filled with agendas. Look at one of the most successful video game franchises of all time in Tetris. There are no grim dark emo vibes, there are no forms of peddling to political and religious agendas, for its structure needs none of those things in order to exist, nor does it look down upon anyone, it is just a simple and well-made video game design, and yet it is the most popular puzzle game of all time, and only Nintendo's Mario franchise surpasses it in popularity. Now, granted, there ARE outliers, as well as exceptions, to the rule, e.g., the Doom franchise, but, by and large, unless the idea, story, and concept of the game all come out perfectly well, then the rules that Shinya said tend to be how things work in real life. However, if he does steal ideas, as well as rule with an iron fist, then he honestly is not fit to be in power, no matter how good that his own ideas are in his life. He really needs to reassess his ways of thought, as well as his rules for making video games, and he also needs to not be so one dimensional when it comes to making video games.
