After Garp cut down all the Blackbeard Commanders, Shiryu soon came to attack Coby with a Haki-coated sword, Then Garp saved Coby and was stabbed by a sword, but not long after, Shiryu was thrown to the ground by Garp. (Already playing Cicik and slamming anyway) Garp can defeat all the Blackbeard pirate commanders easily but Shiryu has a plan by attacking Coby. because if he attacks Garp directly his fate will be the same as the other Commanders.

I suspect it was a conditional mercy; it is too unlike Akainu's character to simply let him live. I think a secret deal has been struck that has SOMETHING to do with Aokiji enlisting in BB's crew. Possibly some undercover work? Knowing Oda, it's gonna be crazy.

Nope. Current Kuzan who is on his prime is stronger than an old garp who is nowhere near his prime power not to mention that garp got 1 tapped by shiryu so easily and couldn't put any bb commander down even after giving his all, meanwhile kuzan negged the whole bb crew while drinking and being depressed, he even packed garp without being blood lusted or going all out with his awakening.
