AOL Mail Error On iPhone Fix - Cannot Get Mail AOL If all of the sudden your iPhone stopped getting your AOL Email, well they changed something and in this video I will walk you through all the steps on how to make sure you fix it and start receiving your Email. This will work on iPhone, iPad and other devices as well. AOL has really changed over the years but it is hard to give up that email address, that old aol.com is still a thing. In this video I'll show you what options you need to go through on aol.com in the security settings to generate a new password so we can get the email working again correctly in the iPhone mail app.

I can't thank you enough!!! Reseting my password worked! I had been to Verizon they gave me a tech support #. When I tried to call it said my # wasn't associated with tech support. I figured I had nothing to lose and tried generating a new password for my iphone and my hubby's droid... and low and behold we got our AOL mail again. Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I had problems and had to delete aol from my list of e mails. I attempted add it back and it wont add. I attempted to us the temp password and my regular password. The temp password did not work. When I used my password it appeared to work. I got an email on my lap top that says I access my account but it does not show on my list of e mails on my I phone ?

Hi I don’t use the app. I wonder if you could help? This is my problem: the list of the inbox emails is a tiny narrow strip on the left of my iPhone so I can’t read it at all because it’s very very tiny. Then if you click on one of them the email opens on the right hand side of the screen I really don’t want that I want the list of emails to be fullscreen and when you tap on an email it opens up full screen as well.

Following your instructions, I generated a password on my AOL account for my iPhone (no spaces). For Windows Live Mail, I was able to copy and paste the password with the spaces. Any new current solution now? I see this is an old video, I tried generating a password and it doesn’t work when I input the way you did. Also on the website it doesn’t give me a drop down menu anymore, it just tells me write a name for it. I doubt it matters but this issue doesn’t fix it. Another thing for me is, my aol email works on the mail app, but there’s many times throughout the day that it doesn’t get the new emails, I have to wait maybe a couple of hours later and it will work. Also the error message I would get is connection to server failed. It’s even worst when I delete the email and try to add it again. It never goes through to work. I have to do it later then it will work. There must be a setting app I can adjust or change to make it work normally. My gmail works 100% perfectly fine. It’s my aol and yahoo emails that get the most trouble. Honestly, I am secretly waiting for iOS 17 and praying to God that somehow it the aol emails will work normally

Did these steps one week ago, it appeared that it worked at first - but when I log into aol via browser, there are multiple new emails that aren’t showing in the apple mail app still. I use an older iPhone8+, older iPad 9.7 & have a newer iPad Pro 12.9 I tried using the same generated password on both iPads, didn’t work, tried using a different auto generated password on each, didn’t work on both. None of the 3 devices are “fixed” using this solution, and I wouldn’t know that if I didn’t continue to log in to aol mail via browser. More new emails are showing in all 3 apple mail apps, but not ALL of the new emails are coming through. Very frustrating! AND - I’m now back to getting the account error message in the mail apps. 😡
