I just want a more linear and present story and real dungeons. Keep the exploration open world aspect tho just make the dungeons unaccessable until a certain point in the story or level or item. Idk why this would be so impossible to do. We can have open world with a linear story easy

I don't like every single part of a map being accessible from the beginning. It feels like I have cheat codes on and it means you could go to a few dangerous exciting harder areas meant for later then do some boring easy ones later which is HORRIBLE gameplay. There's a reason there's been a damn gameplay structure all these years, breaking it leads to garbage. Plus it's exciting getting some new equipment or vehicle allowing you to explore MORE of the game rather than basically having the same level of freedom at the start as you would have at the end. That's not rewarding or exciting.

The story has always been a problem with Zelda. It's not really a series with a cohesive storyline, it's just a bunch of independent cobbled-together poorly written copy-cat plots. More than anything, I would want it to be a passion project from the devs, when it comes to the intention of it. Not the scale or detail, but the reason why it exists. Artists have finite lives and time with working together on beloved projects. I would want to play another OoT that, even if it came from financial strategy, is crafted with un-pandering passion. Orrrrr… heres a Kicker… MAKE A NEW GAME… Not a Remake… like jesus. U guys are giving developers the Easy way out… Like cmon… at this rate they will Just remake every damn Good Game… Stop feeding that BS. Make them Work. Are we gonna Remake Star Wars Movies Too… What we need is a New Star Fox Game… like How many Years has that been?

I’ve been dying for a oot remake. I think it would be awesome for the newer generation to experience the amazing adventure that the older generation experienced, but in a new form. I played oot when I was 6, my dad showed me the game, and I loved it. But imagine an oot remake and you get to use all of links sword techniques, that would be dope asf. (Hero’s shade hidden sword techniques)

I'd say we'll get the OoT remake in late 2026. As long as Switch 2 has Switch backwards compatibility and software enhancements (e.g., improved resolution and performance via software patch), that'll tie us over until then.
@Alucardchild5 ай бұрын
If it's going to be a remake of OoT, sure, why not. But I hope they don't change too much and especially don't make it easier. The 3D Remake had some minor changes that made things easier which I personally didn't like (e. g. markings in Water Temple to the spots for water changing, in the original you had to actually search for them).

Especially with what the literal Ocarina of Time does in-game, the devs can run wild with side quests (and maybe even main story) for both Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask.

I think they should remake OOT, but I think they need to do it on the next system and they really need to expand and exaggerate on its elements. I think they should follow up on a prequel too. Expand on how Hyrule came to be.

I hope that being they can put so much on cartridges now, they release a dual OOT/Mm Modern Day Remake

It would also possibly make since if the remake were released in late 2025. Closing out that year with their new console with a remake of one of the most legendary games ever made would be a great holiday title. Also if the Zelda movie is released early in 2026 the OoT remake could also be a decent marketing tactic for that movie.

it would be nice if they change the camera angle when you enter places. i would love to move around freely in the hyrule market 😄

I knew what the game he was going to mention before clicking on the video, and I 100% agree with him. I'm calling it right now, we're getting a modern OOT. The same treatment the resident evil got. With the new hardware, this will make an amazing holiday 2025 title. I dont believe it will be a launch title with a new Zelda coming out so soon.

You're stringing together multiple interviews that were taken out of context and coming to the conclusion based on Aonuma LAUGHING???? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Laughing and saying "no comment"... which is telling in it's own way.

“Taken out of context” asked about mm3d. Goes out of his way to tell you to print the laughing and let people interpret it, then the game is announce. Teases the thief thing, then confirms later it was a tease: literally says skyward sword on switch outs loud. Asked about game starting Zelda; gives a long winded fluff answer and while it’s being translated, interjects in English to say maybe maybe maybe at a time he obviously knew echoes of wisdom was coming. If you feel like things crazy pills and you feel like “these are out of context”, then you missed the context provided. Even by Eiji himself.

I, like everyone else, would be thrilled to be able to explore the OoT world reimagined and with more detail. Am I the only one who wishes I could explore the world after winning the game? I’m that person who enjoys the exploration aspect of Zelda more than the gameplay itself 😅 I want to run around exploring and talking to NPCs after I’ve saved the world to see how it changes

Aonuma is the most reliable Zelda leaker out there. The thing that I find appealing about the OoT remake rumor is that footage of it would do a great job selling the Switch 2 in N’s promotional materials.

Wasnt there a dev kit shown off to devs a couple of years ago with a zelda tech demo that was very ocarina like or similar to the tech demo with the spider in the temple? May be connected. All speculation of course

I'm not sure if Nintendo would want to make an OOT remake because the original is available through the N64 Switch Online titles, and as for remakes, it would have to blow the PC Port of OOT out of the water -- and I'm not saying that Nintendo couldn't blow the PC port out of the water, but I'm not sure they'd want to put that much effort into remaking OOT... We're all expecting a full blown new Switch2 3D Zelda title, and if the Switch2 is coming out in 2025, it needs to have some amazing classic Nintendo titles within the first year. This means some sort of 3D Mario title that compares to Mario Odyssey, and also a new 3D Zelda title coming down the pipe by the end of 2026, otherwise they are seriously breaking their standard model. I think we really expected TotK to be a Switch2 title, but that didn't happen -- and Nintendo kept saying that they had a _lot_ of left over ideas for BotW that were originally planned as DLC, and this all became TotK... which was jam packed with content. So what if Nintendo has already been working on a (completely new) 3D Switch2 Zelda title for a few years -- in parallel with TotK? There's been rumours of Switch2 hardware for years, and that different game development companies were already working on Switch2 titles with dev kits a few years back... ...if any of that is true... then why would Nintendo themselves not have already been long working on Switch2 titles? The original rumours for the Switch2 release date was December 2021, but the pandemic and resulting turmoil replaced the Switch2 with the Switch OLED. What if Nintendo had originally been planning for a new platform Switch2 3D Zelda title to be released in 2022... but it wasn't the right time for the hardware? Maybe we got TotK as a new Switch game (rather than BotW DLCs) because the real next 3D Zelda game required the delayed Switch2 hardware, and TotK became a consolation prize to tide us over. They knew they had extra time to stretch out the development, and make it far more than their original DLC plans could ever be. It's possible that planning for the Switch2 Zelda title started soon after the BotW release, based on the planned Switch2 hardware capabilities at that time. Not full tilt, but proof of concept engine prototypes based on next generation hardware. This could have been a project spanning a couple years (2018-2020) until it became clear that the Switch2 would be delayed by 3-4 years. This doesn't mean that work on the Switch2 Zelda title halted completely, and I'm sure that it was on hold for a year or two, but what if a small team has actually been working on it since 2018? (Or maybe not so small?) Even with the project on hold for a year or two, that could allow for a full six years of development coinciding with a one year window of launching the Switch2.

I believe they don’t have a pattern on what Zelda is next other than 2D and 3D they always like to innovate into new things for every Zelda games, tho I believe they’ve been making ocarina of time remake for a couples of years ago.

IF this is true, a OoT remake with BotW engine would be awesome. Expand the game, adding in more creatures, remove weapon durability, have dungeon entrances be like shrine entrances but still climbable on the outside, have underwater exploration, etc. This would he so hype!!!

Honestly if they remake OoT For Switch 2, it NEEDS a built in randomizer, if it doesn't have that as an optional feature when starting a new file, then I'm sorry no official port of OoT will ever outshine Ship of Harkanian.
