at 12:17, when you did the cube root of 8, wouldn’t the answer only be positive 2. If you cube negative 2, it would be negative 8. Maybe I’m wrong. If I am, you can correct me.

Yep! You are definitely right. The cube root of 8 should in fact be 2 (and not negative 2). Thanks for the correction!
