SID : 40 inches
CR: perpendicular 1 inch inferior to the coracoid
Patient Position:
Neutral: Hand resting in natural position at the patients side
External: Hand supinated
Internal: Back of the hand against the patients hip
Anatomy Shown:
Neutral: 50% of the greater tubercle laterally
External: Greater tubercle in profile, humeral head in medially
Internal: Lesser tubercle in profile medially

Hi.... can you do a trauma elbow on the table please?? I did my first clinic rotation and trauma elbow was by far the hardest.

sure I apologize i just saw this, did not know comments were held but I will work on filming that for you. any specific projection for the trauma or just in general obtaining an image

When palpating the shoulder to get the CR, I noticed you only went down 1" inferior to the coracoid, do we not go 1" medial also? OR is that not necessary? Current student and this was confusing because lecture say go medial, but for lab practical we can disregard it. What is your thought? :)

The book I work out of is Merrill's which only dictates one inch inferior. I would check your textbook as I'm currently doing ARRT registry guidelines for my students but you're requirements may be different, which is okay :) In reality as long as you have from the jugular notch through the humeral head you have a great shoulder image.

@@licensedtoshoot1911 Position of patient: The patient should be in a supine position. The patient should suspend respiration for the exposure. Position of part: The affected arm is flexed for more than 90 degrees and the hand is place on the top of the head

@momo7464 strange, I could see that for an AP Scapula but definitely not for an AP shoulder or Grashey method.
