Happy New Year guys. I bought a yellow gen1 two years ago. Non runner - you helped me diagnose lack of power to fuel pump and was just a dirty connection. Love the bike, and having AP Workshop support has made ownership and servicing so easy. Can't thank you enough. All the best for 2024!

Nice step by step diagnose. I have a 2003 Gen 1 Tuono standing since 2021, most likely not earlier to be (re)started then 2025. This one might come in handy ;-)...

Love all your videos, just wish it was that simple. My gen1 seems to have an electrical issue, usually after a basic wash but now it hasn't been able to start in months. Immobilizer, chip issue, seems to be stopping spark. Also thinking a faulty crank sensor?

And if it still doesn't run with all 4? Rode 5 minutes to the store and back one night, ran fine. I got home and parked it. The next day, it wouldn't start (no spark). Left it parked over the rest of the winter and swapped out the stator and r/r with Rick's parts and new plugs last week. Made sure the battery was good as well as topped off. Still no spark. New battery, and I have spark now at all 4 plugs. The plugs are getting wet so/and the fuel pump works... the bike turns over (still code free), has spark and fuel, but it doesn't gurgle, bubble, pop, crack, or anything, not even once. Just turns over without even attempting to ignite. 2002 Mille R

This is very good but what I would like to see is how to sort no injection signal. I was hoping this video would tell us where to look for that. Any chance of a video on this? Gen 2 RSV in my case. Thanks

Helpful, thanks. But what if you get ignition, prime, but no crank/turnover when pressing starter button? Starter solenoid issue....?

Mine tries to crank the starter and kills the battery. Got me fucked. Or solenoid issue?

@@muffpaddy if the solenoid is gone, it won't turn over at all, you'll get nothing other than ignition and fuel pump prime. Can you hear the pump prime? Have you tested the battery and is it kept on a tender? An older battery not holding voltage won't work.

If everything “should” work, and the battery is charged, don’t keep cranking it till your sprag explodes: Max throttle on starting. Leans the mixture.

Was könnte das Problem sein wenn alles geht ? Der Anlasser dreht die Pumpe geht die Kerzen sind neu sie springt aber bei 5°einfach nicht an bei 15°aussen Temperatur hatte ich kein Problem? Kann mir jemand helfen

3 out of 4.. yeah.. what about that 4th critical tip.. always the one impossible point.. pump ”running" after prime.. nope.. bike fires & stops.. seems to flood.. have to leave the fast idle alone or.. just cranks & nothing.. Aprilia know how's in NZ.. like chickens teeth
