I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I flunked out of college twice right after high school and then joined the military and finally 28 years later went back and got my bachelors degree. Finished with a 4.0. I must say, though, that would not have been possible without your videos. I had absolutely no idea what APA or a reference page even was when I started school again. My first assignment in a class was to make one, and I can't say I've even seen one all the way through before, never having worked in an environment where they were used. I just got a perfect score on my assignment and it is because I watched your video and learned from it. I was so intimidated but now I kind of love PowerPoint. Thank you again!

Wow. Despite creating hundreds of PPs over the years, this was really helpful. Perhaps you cover notes in another slide, but I find that notes often are not visible on "slide show" when showing the PP on Zoom. I tell my students to print them out and have them on their desk. The other thing you didn't address (more of a performance thing) is not NOT to read your PowerPoint during the presentation. For me, notes should be something to guide your talk, not something one reads. Nonetheless, excellent video!!

No standard font other than it needs to be legible and large enough for your views to read it. A safe bet is to use similarly acceptable fonts that you would use writing a paper: Ariel, Calibri, Times New Roman, Georgia

When will the APA style support correct English? You use the word "anyways" numerous times and that is NOT a word in the English language! The word is anyway. Imagine if you created US French! France would probably sue you. The problem is then you teach non English speakers incorrect English by pushing slang as if its actual English rather than regional slang!

everyone ignore this lmao. there is no format for powerpoint in apa7th because powerpoint died as a medium in 2003 but apa7th was invented in 2014. do whatever you want!

@@aamnaamanat962 My PowerPoint is up to date so that's probably why I have that feature. If you're able to update it, that's what I recommend doing. If not, you can still use the design templates. Good luck to you!

Good video but you've double spaced your references . APA style is just pure double-spacing. You don't double space BETWEEN references. Check Owl Purdue Style Guide etc.

Hey there! I'm not familiar with those templates but this is what I suggest - if the PowerPoint is artsy in terms of graphics and design that's fine. However, for the PowerPoint to follow APA guidelines I would make sure that your fonts are fonts that you would use in a paper and that you properly cite the information on your slides (including graphics). You can absolutely be creative with an APA PowerPoint but you'll want to be sure to keep it clear, clean, and professional. Hope this helps and good luck to you!
