Hi Randy! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your feedback, yes, to a certain extent, I agree with you. Some guests might not like how small the rooms and lobby are, or how "loud" and "dirty" the surroundings are. Even the service is not something to commend. But for some budget travelers, this hotel is a gem in terms of location and price. It is conveniently located in the center of Kabukicho, very near the airport limousine bus stop, and for its location, the price is low enough. But yes, if you have a bit more budget, I definitely recommend staying in the other hotels in the area like Hotel Gracery, Hotel Groove or Bellustar Tokyo. For more hotel and travel videos, I hope you can consider subscribing to my channel in case you haven't. You might be able to find a hotel chain that you might like for your next Tokyo trip. Thanks again for watching! :)

I stayed at this hotel back in May 2024, Room was really tiny with one bed, Me and my wife kept running into each other, Had a bad experience on our last day but Id rather not get in to that. Food wasn't that great in their restuarant, Pretty expensive to stay here. I had to pay for my nephews room as well. But the Tokyo experience was great even though the hotel experience wasn't

@wheretonext1190 6 ай бұрын
Hi Alex! Thank you for watching my video! Yes, I agree with you! Their rooms are really quite small, similar to the usual room sizes of business hotels in Japan, and you get to pay more simply because it is located in the middle of Kabukicho, which is arguably the center of Shinjuku's nightlife. Add to that is if you are staying during the peak season, and on a weekend, where the room prices even increase to double or even almost triple the normal price. I guess their selling point is mainly its location. Some tourists prefer to be in the center of all the happening, so they still choose hotels like this. But yeah, thank you so much for sharing your experience. This would definitely benefit those who are still deciding on whether to stay in this hotel or not. I have other hotel videos which you might want to consider for your next Japan trip, so in case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)

Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, as far as I remember, there is a control panel in the room that you can use to adjust the room temperature. However, please note though that depending on the season, some hotels completely shut off the air conditioning of all their rooms, or turn them into heaters. You can request for small electric fans from the reception if needed. I hope I was able to answer your query. Hi Emy! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, unfortunately, the hotel does not provide irons inside the rooms. But I think I saw a few units of trouser press by the elevator which guests can borrow and use. You can also approach the staff at the reception if you need more information. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again for watching! :)

I have a question, does the spa or pool of this hotel have a view to the city?
@wheretonext1190
@wheretonext1190 7 ай бұрын
Hi Damian! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, no, unfortunately, the public bath or onsen of this hotel does not have a view of the city. Well, that is of the women's public bath at least. I have checked the pictures online too, and no, I don't think there are good views of the city from the hotel's public baths. If I may suggest though, there is a good viewing spot at the 17th floor of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, which is just a few steps away from this hotel. You can have a good view of the city here, plus see trains passing by. I have a video on Tokyu Kabukicho Tower which you may want to check out. This viewing spot is featured in that video. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)

Hi Earl! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, our room was a non-smoking twin room measuring 17sqm. Hi Mishu! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, there are quite a few hotels near this APA Hotel in Kabukicho which are also just a few minutes walk to Shinjuku station and have easy access to the airport limousine buses. These hotels include Bellustar Tokyo, Hotel Groove Shinjuku and even Hotel Gracery Shinjuku. I haven't stayed in them but based on their reviews, they should be good options too. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)

Whats that thing about no tattoos in the spa?
@wheretonext1190
@wheretonext1190 6 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, most onsens or public baths in Japan do now allow people with tattoos. The Japanese taboo toward tattoos stems from their association with members of Japanese organized crime. Gangsters in Japan are typically heavily tattooed and so this is the reason why the Japanese, mostly the older ones, do not want to be "associated" with tattooed guests. But in the recent years, more and more public baths are already allowing tattooed guests to use their onsen. For those with smaller tattoos, some even cover them with bandage strips so as not to attract attention. But yes, if you have bigger tattoos and want to use the public baths, you can just probably search for public baths or private hotels which allow tattooed guests. Or better yet, if you have the extra budget, there are also hotel rooms and Japanese inns (ryokan) with private hot spring baths. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)

Do you think this room is ok for a family of 3( 3yr old toddler)?
@wheretonext1190
@wheretonext1190 6 ай бұрын
Hi Krizm! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, technically, the room in this video is ok for 2 adults and 1 toddler in terms of size. However, please note that most hotels in Japan are quite strict when it comes to the number of registered guests. Per checking, this hotel considers a toddler as a third person already, and so the hotel might not allow the three of you to stay in a twin room that is only good for 2 persons. To be safe, I suggest looking for a hotel with a triple room that would allow 3 persons. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)

Hi Kyle! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, as shown in the video, this APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower is the APA Hotel right by the entrance of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. You won't miss it if you are in Tokyu Kabukicho Tower itself. The other APA hotels in the area are called by other names. As an example, I have a separate video featuring another APA Hotel in Kabukicho, called APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Chuo. The distance between these 2 APA hotels is just a 3-min walk. You may also want to check it out using the link below. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5nJYqmZbtmcbdU I hope I was able to answer your query. Hi Nanako! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, this hotel is just a 7-min walk (500 meters) from the JR Shinjuku station. It is a very easy walk to the Kabukicho exit, passing through the famous 3D cat display. The hotel is also near Seibu-Shinjuku station, about a 3-min walk. I hope I was able to answer your query. Is it safe for solo female traveler ?
@wheretonext1190
@wheretonext1190 4 ай бұрын
Hi again Sophie! Yes, Japan is generally a very safe country so solo female travelers need not worry. For this particular hotel, since it is located right in the heart of Kabukicho which is Tokyo's red-light district, yes, there may be some homeless and drunk people within the vicinity at night especially during weekends. But based on my personal experience as a solo female traveler as well, it is very safe even to walk among the local "party people". They wouldn't mind you and people just go about their own business. In the morning, you will wake up with the area already clean. Hope this information helps in planning your trip. :)
