just one suggestion, flip the foam so your scope is near the handle, the idea is you don't want weight on your scope

Just a tip, get a rattle can of plasti dip (your choice of color) and empty the entire can on the foam. It will add much needed strength to the foam, the lines from the pluck foam disappear, and depending on your choice of color will make it look much more appealing. I went with a red and it makes that sucker pop when I open it at the range and almost instantly I get lookers and eventually askers wanting to know where I got my “red foam”

I recently picked up two Apache 9800's to use as storage boxes on top of my 4WD Suburban. Managed to get them on sale for $119 each. I was kind of pleasantly surprised at their construction...not cheap and flimsy at all...nice and sturdy.
