Currently running nextcloud (installed with snap) through my apache2 reverse proxy and a cloudflare ssl certificate. Only thing left is to prettify the url but I can't seem to find any working solution to remove the 'index.php' from the url online. (From the method I found I get an error: Error updating .htaccess file, not enough permissions or "overwrite.cli.url" set to an invalid URL? ).

The tutorial is great thank you. I'm having trouble with ddclient and google domains I can't get my domain to resolve using this reverse proxy methodology. I can see my sites by visiting the public ip and entering the ports I'm using.
@TechGuides4 жыл бұрын
Hey! I don't know ddclient, but did you check if your pubic IP address is correctly resolved for your domain name, e.g. using whatismyipaddress.com/hostname-ip

Hi Sir, from the client perspective how can I tell if my request is being proxied (forwarded)? I tried analyzing the Network tab but it only shows the request to the Proxy, I was expecting maybe a HTTP response 302 with a Location Header? But I could not find anything. Thanks for your guidance.

I build the web proxy apache, but through the proxy the .css .js files are very slow and especially can't load .gif files. Do you have a solution to this ?! Thanks in advance ! I use Centos 8 and Apache 2.4.37
@TechGuides4 жыл бұрын
But files load normally when non-proxied so when you access the application directly through the respective port?

Could someone recommend a router that can support ClouDNS service? Currently, I'm using NO-IP and for free versions, it seems not to support subdomains.
@TechGuides4 жыл бұрын
You don't need a specific router for ClouDNS, you can just run the wget command as a cronjob on your server which will automatically update the DNS record every say 30 minutes. Btw that command comes up when you enable dynamic DNS

if you install Nextcloud by snap, you actually don't have the `/etc/apache2` folder. Do you know the way to work around it? Or we need to manually install apache2?
@TechGuides5 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you installed nextcloud via snap than you need to additionally installl apache2 to make the reverse proxy work
