I think he did but he didn't admit it. Which I can give a lot of character reasons for but still annoys me, so I have to blame RTD. The way it was played, though, he was always pulling her in and pushing her away. I'd actually love to see Freema Agyeman as a regeneration of the Doctor (under a different showrunner).

I loved matha, although Catherine was my favourite and she was my second, she played such a good companion even over rose, she's a great actress and I hope people felt the same way.
