LEADIN:
Morocco's boxing world champion is preparing for this year's Olympic Games.
Welterweight Mohammed Rabii has been named the country's best athlete but wants to top that with a medal in Rio.
STORYLINE:
A couple of jabs and a hook: Mohammed Rabii is showing the next generation of boxers what it takes to be world champion.
The Moroccan welterweight is at the Bernoussi Youth Association Club in Casablanca, the place where he first took up the sport.
But from humble beginnings he's become a sporting hero in his country.
Rabii is the AIBA welterweight world champion, the first Moroccan ever to claim the top spot.
And the World Boxing Series (WSB) has named him boxer of the year for 2015.
So now he's being crowned Morocco's best athlete for 2015 at a ceremony in Al Jadida.
It's an honour he's happy to receive.
"I'm very happy to be the best athlete of 2015 due to my achievements in boxing, which are new for this sport. I hope to achieve every year in this sport and I hope be the (best) athlete every year," he says.
Back at home, there's time for a quick spar with his father Ali.
He has encouraged his son's passion from a young age.
Rabii began boxing at the age of eight and was selected for the national team when he was 14.
"He did not like football, he has the inclination to box. I gave him the freedom to choose and I have helped him since his childhood. I accompanied him to the club until he reached 12 or 13 when he went with his friends," says Ali Rabii.
The 22-year-old won seven consecutive fights in the WSB Season V.
