An ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio (Julia Garner, Ozark) dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple (Dianne Wiest, I Care a Lot, and Kevin McNally, Pirates of the Caribbean film series) welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer (Jim Sturgess, Across the Universe) offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself. Additional supporting cast includes Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean) and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).

An old lady named Mrs. Gardenia - who had been part of the coven but quit - had lived there. (She was apparently so terrified of the Castevets and the rest of the coven that she single-handedly moved a dresser in front of the door that connected their apartments.)'

Actually, I did a little research, and I was wrong. (I may watch the original again just to check.) Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse lived in Apartment 7E. So, this prequel is accurate. (I wonder though, if the character of Mrs. Gardenia will be featured in this.)

⁠@@jonathanbaker9473What do you mean you were wrong? I’m confused. Terry lived with the Castavets IN their apartment. Mrs Gardenia lived in a separate apartment alone. Rosemary and Guy moved into the apartment Mrs Gardenia had lived in before she died. That apartment (Mrs Gardenia’s) used to be part of the apartment the Castavets live in (before the unit was split up into two apartments). It used to be the “back side” of the unit they live in now. But Terry never lived in that separate unit and the Castavets never owned or ran the place as is implied in this trailer (showing them renting out an apartment to Terry).

At least Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby had Ruth Gordon....that's really about the only high mark it gets.....it's really not bad, but it ain't great....I did like Patty Duke as well but not her Rosemary's outcome. The book Son of Rosemary had a good premise, but a terrible execution. I'm still not convinced that Ira Levin really wrote it. I do agree though...why does it need a prequel? The Omen sure didn't need one....and sure didn't get a good one. Maybe this will be good though...looks like some good actors. I'm going in with an open mind.

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed she's playing Terry Gionoffrio (however it's spelled). This isn't keeping in continuity with what happens in RB. She never got pregnant or suspicious. She spoke glowingly about the Castevets to Rosemary the day before she died. This completely changes that. Just like The First Omen didn't keep continuity with the original.
