Nominated for a 2015 Emmy Award for his riveting portrayal of Hector Tontz in ABC’s commercially and critically acclaimed anthology series American Crime, (created by Oscar-winner John Ridley), Richard Cabral was discovered by the producers of NBC’s Southland while working as a Baker at Homeboy Industries. He’s been taking Hollywood by storm ever since.

You can literally see and feel his pain if you are in tune to this kind of thing. Halfway through and I was in tears. You can’t teach that. It’s earned through pain.

The guy had literal tears in his eyes… it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that he’s in pain. What do you mean “if you’re in tune to this kind of thing” 😂

@@BillyMillion most people don’t give a rats ass about other people and are not “in tune” to even the most obvious social queues. I would not expect a person with a dude jerkin off as his icon to understand this though.

@@BenDover-tz6zi unless you’re autistic, a man with tears in his eyes is a pretty obvious and universal sign that he’s in pain. Also, you’re name is literally Ben Dover so let’s not call the kettle black.

I grew up around 27th street ( low bottoms) around the 90’s and lived my teenage years in south East LA (Norwalk) early 2000’s. With that being said, I can’t count how many amazing souls got brain fogged to this culture. I once was in his shoes and understand the pain as well, but most importantly it’s the other amazing souls I met in the neighborhoods who had so much talent go to waste due to gang violence or drugs. A very few doing life. we always talked about being something “one day”, but we never really knew what first step to take because the hood lifestyle was always FIRST. Now as a 38 year old dad, I hope that

Powerful to say the least... I was ones a lost soul on the road of destruction. gangs drugs you name it. Watching this brought back memories and hit home. I'm lucky enough to say that I'm living the American dream, own a white caller business, earn 6 figures a year with my limited educatation, but most of all I was lucky enough to have family to fall back on when i was down. Anyone who wants out and be a productive member of society it's just a matter of wanting it.

The Strongest of the Strange you won’t see them often for wherever the crowd is they are not. those odd ones, not many but from them come the few good paintings the few good symphonies the few good books and other works. and from the best of the strange ones perhaps nothing. they are their own paintings their own books their own music their own work. sometimes I think I see them- say a certain old man sitting on a certain bench in a certain way or a quick face going the other way in a passing automobile or there’s a certain motion of the hands of a bag-boy or a bag- girl while packing supermarket groceries. sometimes it is even somebody you have been living with for some time- you will notice a lightning quick glance never seen from them before. sometimes you will only note their existance suddenly in vivid recall some months some years after they are gone. I remember such a one- he was about 20 years old drunk at 10 a.m. staring into a cracked New Orleans mirror facing dreaming against the walls of the world where did I go? -Charles Bukowski
