Love you guys video, always a good source to go back to when i need a reminder or haven't worked on apc backup power supply in a while. I don't mind working for your company, looks like a great place to work for.

That unit won't but some units should, right? SMRTD5000XL has hot swappable batteries, and a bypass switch for bypassing the batteries. And it has a LED light that should light up when there are no batteries connected. At least that's according to what the user manual said. Does all of that make sense? Or will the unit still not do anything without batteries? I know that UPS is typically just will not do anything without batteries. Or without batteries connected. But from the user manual of this UPS, it suggests that it should. Basically I don't want to waste time and energy getting batteries for it considering how expensive they are If the unit isn't any good you know?

I have an SU3000RM that won't start. The batteries were replaced two days ago, but the 'replace battery' LED was still on, so I attempted to initiate a test in order to reset the battery indicator. The first time, I heard a chirp at ten seconds, but nothing happened. A minute later I repeated holding the Test button. It chirped at 6 seconds and at ten seconds, everything shut down. I have not been able to restart the UPS since. All four batteries are warm, indicating they were charging and properly connected. I've held the button for as long as 35 seconds, but no sign of life. System will not start. I'm looking for a schematic for the control PCB, so I can troubleshoot it and find out what went wrong.

Hi guys! I have an APC smart UPS rack mount model SMT1500RM2U, it's only power on batteries, looks like not connected to AC power, it's consuming all batteries what could be the problem?
