The Prime designs were in general pretty amazing. I'd love to see 3P really dive into the series. Give us some MP figures.

Some of them feel like MP's. Especially FE Bulkhead, and Prime himself is pretty darn nice too. I would love to see a few tweaks on, say Bumblebee and Ratchet, as well as scaling them all up to MP. Except Arcee. Maybe tweak her mold to get those "wings" off her arms, but keep her small so she actually scales well with the others for once.

Nope, the dark star saber didn't even exist in the aligned continuity until Megatron grafted the arm of solus prime onto his body so he could use the forge hammer to create it. The items were his normal sword and a shield.

The arm is referred to as being from a deceased prime, and if you read the covenant of primus, then you'll find that Solus is the only member of the 13 that actually died in the aligned continuity because it was later revealed in IDW that Liege Maximo wasn't dead, and was being held prisoner on board his own titan.

Honestly, I know a lot of people hated on the Voyager Megatron, but the takara ones were actually really good, obviously they were a bit more pricey, other than the accessories you get with this one they look pretty much identical. But honestly I buy this one just for the accurate fusion Cannon and sword.

@Henry Lienemann It's a KO company such as Weijiang, cause they are using Hasbro's desings, the Optimus is the First Edition Voyager one with Dr Wu upgrades, this Megatron is the First Edition Deluxe one with Dr. Wu dark star saber (the only new accesory are the blades)

Your right, when designing the Transformers, they took ques from both the movies and Generation 1. This is especially prominent with Megatron as his ship and robot designs specifically are inspired by the 2007 Megatron and fused with his original G1 look in order to create a design that was a hybrid of the movies and the G1 series.

Welker and Cullen reprised their roles for Prime. Also the figure is a KO with minor retooling, a metallic bpaint job, and a KO set of 3rd party accessories too. (Or the 3d printed version of the Dark Saber).

This is a retool oversized version of that 2 pack that came with a deluxe optimus prime and the kids of the show and is the best mold for him because both the vehicles and robot are awesome, mi e broke from the hips so these fits perfect as the definitive meg for my transformers prime!!

Another great review! Just like I said for the review for Optimus Prime, I'm definitely going to have to pick this figure up. APC Toys has done an outstanding job of the paint work, all that silver makes Megatron look so glorious! I really don't see why Hasbro can't give this kind of quality to the fans, it's quite frustrating. Transformers Prime has my favorite voice actors reprising their roles, Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Frank Welker as Megatron and again is my favorite Transformers cartoon. Transformers Prime Megatron is my favorite incarnation of the character, I just love his personality and design, especially in robot mode, I think it's the gladiator look that I love so much but he's also almost indestructible due to his design.

As a G1 fan, I had no interest in any of the subsequent shows like Energon which I thought were too pokemon like in terms of animation and dramatics, and poor characters. Prime however is a fantastic show that even now still looks great and is a far more mature show with really well developed characters. Megatron was the best character in it (and kudos to Frank W for bringing him to life again) and even just walking down a corridor oozed power and menace. My son loves Knock Out (side note : any good figures for him?) but it has to be the Big M for me! I think this could be my first Transformers figure since my childhood G1 collection. Don't even think I will transform him to jet mode - he just looks that good in robot form. Cheers for the review!
